New medical conditions attributed to Greatland

My submission to The Lancet has been accepted in which I outline three identifiable medical conditions attributable to owners of a gold exploration share:

Greatland Despond
A 3-month condition usually lasting between January and End of March during which owners lose all sense of rationality and inhabit a world of gloom and despond, with no mitigating elements. Leads also to bitterness and rancour towards others, bile and disputatiousness.

Greatland Hands
Unusually flattened hands. Caused by a minimum of 12 months of patients bizarrely sitting on them causing a loss of blood flow. Plate-like hand sizes are a consequence and are most comical on smaller humans. Colloquially referred to as Paddy Hands, source and origin of this colloquialism unclear.

Greatland Euphoria
A clear behaviour identifiable by patients with uncommonly flat hands waving them euphorically in mid-April and whooping incoherently. Words used include “boom”, “bosh”, “bash” and the drawing of rocket shapes.

I am researching a potential fourth and fifth condition called the Greatland Hump for those with unidentifiable gloom despite positive developments, and the Greatland Gout which I will report on later, the latter of which arises from high living. I expect this to ready soon after September.

That’s probably why we get the occasional football hooligan here too :)

GGP reminds me of a football club that has risen from non-League to Premier League in short order. We had a great manager and chief scout, and we’ve kept the chief scout and have a new manager.

We’ve had setbacks that any team has along the way, we’ve enjoyed the promotions - one after another, and then another), the play-off final victories, establishing ourselves in the Premier League, climbing to the Champions League slots this season. And then hitting a run of form that drops us out of the CL spots for now.

We’ve got the same squad spine as we had through the meteoric rise including the brilliant goalkeeper Havieron (an Aussie legend) and have added new prospects and talents in the squad which will help us grow again over the years ahead. And we’re on course to not just be Premier League champions but ultimately to be Champions League winners within a few years.

We’re playing in front of an empty stadium at the moment, racking up draw after draw, an occasional win, plus there are rumours and speculation about suitors destabilising our valuation so they can snatch us out of the hands of our current supporter-owned status.

The players are just in need of a lift. The fans need to come back. The board will communicate again with news of new signings. The suitors will always be there as we plan for bigger success.

And soon the roar of the crowd will lift the value of our assets and our cup and league wins will go through the roof.

Keep believing in the manager and the players IMO. The chief scout continues to discover new talent, and the fans will be buying more season tickets than there are seats. The youth academy is looking good.

The future looks bright. Currently mid table, but still in the Premier League. A few wins over the next month and we’ll be back in the CL places.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Other cliches can be used.

Yes I did a transfer to HL from a Royal London. Very easy.
You will need to check your account though as HL don’t send a notification message that funds have arrived. Mine went across in 3 days and was sat there for 2 while I waited for a message.

Well mysteriously some of our posts (though not the full thread about Inst’s investing) have been removed from Sunday evening which postulated the difficulties brokers might be experiencing in getting stock, and why that is. Because PIs are holding out.

How very interesting. How acutely disturbing.

One of the few useful discussions I’ve played an active part in and it’s been burned on the LSE fire.

I take solace though that it must be too close to the truth for the comfort of some.

This may have been covered, apologies if so.

In the scenario that Mr/s Big is buying via intermediaries would this be the case:-

- intermediary buys but doesn’t need to report on the day
- every day’s buy is added up / rolled up effectively accumulating a pile without anyone knowing
- when finally happy having secured their target they then show the buys over the months as a single big total e.g. 500 million
- the trade price is shown as the average of all purchases

Just trying to answer this puzzle for myself.

Interested to get views on what the roadshow sets out to achieve please. Is it to bring more investors based on current info, consolidate existing investors with some titbits of forward look, or like a 6 monthly keeping in touch thang?

Not a UHNWI so never sure of their purpose.

Just wanted to clarify that. Acting infers some other CEO is coming. That’s not what you meant right?
