from another board : if you guys do the calcs, JH Assoc. have paid quite a hefty sum... certainly way more than the current market cap of ARG. ARG shareholders are getting a slice of JH Assoc super cheap. The company makes $40m+ profit / annum. Last time they sold shares in the company to another outfit, the price was c£1.60 per share. This deal values the ARG shares at 4p.

there are some on here who simply are not clued up on what valuation the market will give once the discovered well starts production. Let me give you a simple example. Look up PANR (Pantheon Resources Plc), currently capped at £180m. It reached a peak of £1.5b. Like MATD, before that it meandered, for years, in the penny share status until it ihit pay dirt. Yet is it producing oil now ? no it isnt. Its still trying to figure out the best way to get production going - and even then its still capped at £180m (news affected the share price collapsing it from 160p to 20p).

Now if that doesnt show what is possible here, even 50% of the possibility then best leave your funds under the mattress... safe and sound.

The key is cash flow.... MATD securing the LP will trigger such a rerating because one thing market loves, is free cash flow... and there is no better way to generate that cash flow by discovering, extracting and selling a resource. MATD has been meandering for the past 10+ years going through highs and lows and then stuck in penny share league.. but like PANR it's now tantalizingly close to achieving the holy grail of producing oil and making cash that flows to the bottom line and funds future exploration and production.

it's not illegal.... the company touts clients who will invest in the placing but not before they have signed a legal obligation to keep the info to themselves and not act upon it..... this is what is meant by being an "insider". Whether they act on it or not... is pretty obvious.... :-)

you do talk a load of twaddle. There is appx £40m accumulated losses ... nothing to do with intangible asset value write offs, of current projects. Those are clearly classed as assets and capitalised and on the balance sheet.

USA is the big bully and has the clout. History shows, super powers do as they wish... SAUDI bauys billions in arms from USA... so the Saudis can effectively do as they wish.. Russia has seat on the security council and they really dont need the USA for their rise to power.

Its the small countries that rely on big aid and trade with the USA that get clobbered. Its reality..... always has been. Hegemonyic nations do as they wish.... whether it was Britain in the past, Germay or others. USA is doing the same.
