Russia is not North Korea, think about it how are Russia going to develop multi billion dollar global projects without the expertise and nous of global expertise.
All this would do is minimise tax returns, put a lot of people out of work, ensure minimal future foreign investment into Russia, apart from the fact Russia is already selling huge quantity of energy to Europe do you seriously think they are going to purposely self harm and hamstrung their economy?

This mess is hugely down to the result of Obama's (Ukraine) disasterous foreign policys during his tenure, and we all know who was his VP then sleepy Joe!
The EU and NATO have to share the blame though allowing America to dictate a foreign policy that was bound to irritate and antagonise a dangerous adversery, however one that I believe a peaceful and respectful solution could have been achieved.
Now we are back to cold war, you simply cannot trust politicians to do the right thing for their people.

I too have very little faith in the Biden administration and cannot understand Boris and co sucking up to them after what the US did in Afghanistan.
