Sanctions will hit the people who need them the least, very sad times lets hope for a peaceful solution here ASAP.

Putin is wretched a megalomaniac I think we all agree in that.
But Russia is a vast state with many different cultures and religions.
If you replace Putin which I hope, the replacement is going to need to be strong and in places hard to keep Russia from splitting into various separate regions and potentially civil war.
We the west have been down this road recently Iraq the prime example and we created an absolute **** show of that and 100s of 1000s lost lives.
Russia is an entirely different entity much bigger and potentially volatile (nukes) if the West could not control Iraq it has zero hope or rights to control Russia.
This is a terrible situation for the good people of Russia most I doubt wanted this war they just want to get along like us, but the political sphere in Russia is super complex and way beyond our remit or capability to control or influence IMO.

I understand emotions are high bets try and have some balance if possible?
My own thoughts are this is a huge failure of western foreign policy and statesmanship has allowed a dangerous individual way too much rope which he has taken with both hands.
However that is now in the past the thoughts are with those Ukrainians suffering today and brave ones fighting seriously these guys and girls have my absolute respect, real heros.
Let us hope for a swift resolution here and peace for these people really they did nothing to deserve this they are the pawns of dreadful politics dreadful leadership (the west) and a meglomaniac Russian president.
