Manage expectations Dodge.
If they were genuine sells the sp would've dropped, not risen. It's really isn't rocket science to work out they were buys below the mid-price and as such reported as 'sells'. With regards to the 20m trade, looks like a filled buy to me.
I don't use HL myself but if there is an online platform available to you to view your holding then look for a 'corporate actions' section (all good online platforms should contain this) which should have the VAST meeting and resolutions listed in it. If not, then simply give them a ring and instruct them of how you wish to vote with regard to each resolution.
Sardy, nobody outside of AP and the Rom Gov know what's happening with this licence, everything else whether positive or negative is purely speculation on our part. AP is a savvy operator and I don't believe for one minute he would agree to spend money on Baita if he wasn't confident of landing the licence. I believe we are caught up in the quagmire that is bureaucracy, nothing more.
Lee, the sp is currently where it is for two main reasons in my view - firstly Baron offloading suppressed the sp from the 0.6 range down to low 0.5's, then coupled with the badly timed RNS this week it got pushed down further. Had Baron not offloaded I believe we would've been sat in the 0.6's, then off the back of the RNS on Monday we would've dipped into the 0.5's, but seeing we were already sat in that range we were pushed down to where we are now. Fundamentals remain as strong as ever here for me, perhaps even stronger off the back of AP's comments in the podcasts this week so whilst the sp doesn't look pretty right now it's certainly not a reflection of company progress to date. I hold and have taken some more with confidence.
That's why - however difficult it may seem - you need to keep emotions as low as possible or even remove them completely out of your investment case. How many literally soiled their pants yesterday and sold out having not properly scrutinised the RNS and allowed pure emotion to take control of their investment decision? I wouldn't mind betting that some actually bought back in after AP did the podcasts. This is why it's always key to do your own research and trust in that research.
Ian, if they'd read the RNS properly and trusted in their research then they wouldn't have sold in the first place.
Jeffa, I understand your frustration but if this is done to benefit the company and I feel that it being undertaken in that respect then surely it’s good things long term? Clearly Baita Plai is coming otherwise I doubt they’d agree to spend any money on it at all. I take that as firm positive.
He stated he wanted to reduce pf size. He also closed out a few others too. Case closed.
Indeed. Hopefully can now buy in the confidence that the sp won't be suppressed any longer. Lost some respect for this guy following his comment a few weeks back that he wouldn't be selling any more and 'was fully behind AP'. Beginning to view him as nothing more than a sophisticated market spoofer/abuser.
Ian, if you’re not a whale then you’re little people.
Yes he does. @andrew_prelea
It wouldn't stop the drawdown, no, but given what is written in the RNS regarding it's clear the company would like this in place before initiating, otherwise why even mention it in the same sentence? 'Drawdown of Tranche B is subject, in addition to customary due diligence and agreement of documentation, to a technical and financial due diligence on Manaila and Baita Plai and the completion of a Baita Plai plant investment plan validating the business of that mine. Tranche B would be secured on the Romanian assets of the Company.'
Oracle, you (and all of us) could be pleasantly surprised. Tranche B drawdown is supposed to happen on July 1st and one of the conditions is having the BP licence in place......here's hoping.
Nobody knows Sonic. He hasn't tweeted about selling any more and when he did mention a few weeks back that he'd sold half his holding he stated that the remaining half wouldn't be going anywhere. Who/whatever is selling clearly has a lot of stock, no doubt scaring a few pi's into selling also.
Why Todd? Because you wouldn’t put that much in doesn’t mean someone else with a very large pf wouldn’t. It’s all relative to each individual. Baron had well over 100m shares here at one point.
If I had contact details for AP, earthling, I would have done.
Has anybody bothered contacting AP to see if he is aware of who the seller is?
In my experience, the more aggressive they get with the selling the more they’re nearing the end, so the sooner the better. This selling is the only reason the sp has drifted to where it has, nothing more so take confidence from this fact and in knowing the fundamentals are rock solid here.
...a sea of blue in the trades for a change. Nothing has altered here with regards to the fundamentals, in fact they keep getting stronger. Throw in a very savvy and entrepreneurial CEO who's determined not to dilute shareholders and has shown the ability to secure and close some great deals recently (Mercuria, Eureka) and we're in for a great future. I'm anticipating the next quarterlies will show real progress being made with regard to profit margins too. End of July for the next set, or is it August?
