I'm not so hot on the economics I'm afraid so couldn't even give you a guestimate; I just think it's a good product with alot of potential. I work in computing now, but have a background in engineering - I spent a year studying the effects of pressure pulsations on screw compressor design (you can't imagine the fun!) - which involved a degree of control systems engineering too (a long time ago now, mind). I'm not sure there's anything quite like it on the market that's been proven to deliver consistent results - can't honestly say my research has been exhaustive - not done a patent search for example, but I bet British Gas and Serco have! I do know they have the software patented though, and I'm pretty sure it's a european wide patent too. I think their biggest competition is from companies who sell / maintain BEMS telling the customer that their product already does what SNT's product does - which it doesn't, or not as well anyway. Let's face it, if you're the FD who are you going to believe? A little outfit from Watford? The good news is thay even if the client decides not to go with SNT in the first place they can always have their system retro-fitted with SNT's kit when they realise they can save 15% odd off their energy bill - and reduce their carbon footprint to boot. I was just lucky enough to get in at 7.5p so am happy to take a long term view - because it might just be one of the few products that really takes off. All we need now is some orders!

S**te... look at that spread (currently showing 26%)! Certainly would have thought that was enough to be putt off any day trading. MM manipulation perhaps to fulfill a large buy order since there are so few shares around? Just speculation. DYOR!!!

Yes, seems remarkably stable considering the meterioc rise. Seems to be very little profit taking going on.

I don't want to sound like I'm ramping this share but I am just so enthusiastic about the potential here, and so glad that I managed to get in at what will hopefully be looked back upon as 'ground zero'. It has the added advantage of being a super green stock too - so you can invest and save the planet at the same time! They actually achieved UL approval back in march this year for M2G: http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-news/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=2121042 I can't say I was overwhelmed initially with the choice of US partner but time will tell on that front, and if it proves to be successful in generating significant orders from SERCO/BG customers then that will probably be less important. Also, I think alot of companies have put the whole 'green agenda' on the back burner for the moment - but once the economy starts to come good it could be a very different story. There's other good news too; SNT have dramatically reduced the amount of time it takes to run a pilot, and whereas before the pilots previously focused on specific 'seasons' (ie. 3 months over winter) SNT are confident that they can do a pilot pretty much anytime now and demonstrate significant savings in a few weeks. I've said it before, and this is just my opinion, but it's only going to take one major customer to say right, we're rolling this out across our entrire organisation... and if that someone was say, McDonalds then happy days...!!

Anyone interested in green tech stocks with (potentially) big futures if they play their cards right should have a look at BGBL. If they can crack the consumer market, well...! Save the planet and make some money at the same time...?

It's quite an illiquid stock. The share price was high two years ago before falling to 2p." Indeed, but that was before SERCO and British Gas rubber stamped the technology. Sabien have always known the technology works but the engineers in large firms such as SERCO/BG take a necessarily long time to approve technology such as this because if it turns out not to work - and they're recommending it to clients - they're going to look pretty silly. Roll on the first big contract...!

Still worth doing some research on this company if you're interested in a green product with lots of potential (they were nearly 80p shortly after being floated and there's been successful pilot after successful pilot since then - just no major orders). I'm hoping we won't get a significant retrace here because there's so few shares in public hands, and most of the investors (I suspect) aren't going to be day trading these. I'll be looking out for the newspaper reports tmrw!

Apart from todays news which is a great rubber stamp of the effectiveness of the product don't forget Sabien are still in direct talks and have completed - successful - pilots with lots of MAJOR Blue Chips too (just have a look at the website) any one of which could turn around and place a contract at any time. And because the product is largely software based - it's a control system - they don't need to gear up / invest signifcantly for large volume manufacturing or anything like that if / when a big order does come in...!

I suspect for the moment it's probably as high as it's going to go for a bit, although there's no real reason for a retrace other than as moosh says for a bit of profit taking (understandable!). However, if a cast iron contract win comes out in the meantime then the price could go significantly higher IMO - presenting you without a chance to get back in at what may look like in the future a bargain price. Personally I'm in this LONG term. They have another product (M3G) which is for air conditioning systems too.

The problem that Sabien has (maybe had...!) is that they are a very small company - and whilst they have demonstrated how successful their technology is in multiple pilots with some very big name customers, there are other much bigger players installing BEMS (building energy management systems) that claim to do the same job. People don't realise that M2G complements BEMS - and can increase bolier efficiency in buildings that already have 'sophisticated' BEMS in place. I gather it's been quite a frustrating time for the Directors - but they're all significant shareholders, and it looks like the faith they have in their own technology might be about to be vindicated now the big boys are finally taking notice.
