I joined premium chat because I thought it might be a good forum for proper reasoned debate about the technical / engineering / financial / political / environmental and general viability of this company. Must admit I'm a bit disappointed to see that the last umpteen posts don't seem to be anything to do with any of that.

Indeed! FRR and BILL doing well last couple of days. I'm not in for a fortune by any means on wet but if i can run on free and leave it for a few years then it's worth a punt - but that's all it is at the moment imo.

word of warning mate re: WET, seems to be quite a bit talking up of the share going on - i fully intend to get a free holding in fairly short term 'cos i think there's potentially quite a bit of risk.

glad i turned my laptop on before turning in... order in for first thing tmrw here. thanks again. regarding WET, i have a holding - could be a good short termer then get out and run on free - wait 5 years and see if it's made you a fortune. have some reservations in the long term about the ability of the company to effectively (i.e. health / regulations wise) and economically make the water potable (drinkable) - and in such massive quantities - rather than just being industrial grade. this is potentially difficult and expensive. think the project hinges on this but not sure people realise. have my brother in law (who's runs his own analytical lab) working on the science. there's a few quid to be made in the short term imo because amd (acid mine drainage) is an ecological disaster waiting to happen and looks like it must go ahead anyway, even if they can't eventually make the water potable. outcome of a few critical hurdles (environmental impact assessment etc) shortly to be announced which should drive the sp in the short term at least. it's a punt of course, but went up 20% today before allegedly being shorted. finished up 10% anyway. spread is silly but you'd probably get in at 1.3ish. short term poss 3.5p

Mmmm. Just been reading one of the PDF's on company website and it definitely says: The proposed Mine Water Reclamation Project will be developed in two phases. The first phase will comprise the collection of mine water from the Western, Central and Eastern Basins and the treatment/reclamation thereof at a centralised Water Treatment Plant which will be able to process approximately 75 mega litres (Mℓ) of mine affected water per day to POTABLE water. 75 Megalitres of water / day to potable water is a s**t load, so I think my brother in laws concerns still stand. It's not just the quality it's the volume too. More digging required... anyway, signing off for tonight. BTW does anybody have the Environmental Impact Assesment in a different format / pdf. Tried printing the link that hgac posted at 15:12 and couldn't get it to print properly in A4?

Thanks for the info and feedback. Will obviously have to do a lot more reading of the leg work that you guys have already done. Will post back with anything I find of relevance. 2Byron - yep, it was only a cursory glance based on a few of the links I sent him, I just wanted to flag what he sent me to see what everybody else's views were. If by the sounds of it the projects a goer based on environmental/cost grounds anyway and therefore doesn't rely on the production/sale of potable water then that's great.

We probably also need to further understand the costs associated with this 'ABC' process - as I say, one of my brother in laws concerns was the sheer volume of water / day being handled - if there really was a cheap way to provide potable water on a (relatively) massive commercial scale then it would appear to be a major scientific breakthrough - as far as I'm aware they're not suggesting that that is what's been achieved. Lots of questions... but hopefully if we can dig up the right data then I can get him to look at the details. My

Thanks for comments guys. Don't get me wrong - I'm invested, I want this to fly! Could be a good one for the ISA / pension pot (like PPA - which I now have running on free shares and will happily wait 5 years for it to pay off big time). Would like to get into the same position on here, just wanted to get my brother in law's opinion on the subject - he really is an expert (....it's about the only thing he is good for LOL!!!) Will do some more digging - I haven't done anywhere near the amount of research that you guys have. Just didn't want to build up a decent holding and then see it all go t**s up in a few years.

I think my brother in law's (long term) concern was that they don't seem to have done the tests to any internationally recognised standard... producing potable water to EU specifications is difficult and expensive - and he was also concerned with the volume they would be trying to produce. Might have to see if I can dig up some info on RAND's requirements / specification for the potable water.

I haven't yet - will print it off and take it home. Maybe get my brother in law to have a look (he'll be well chuffed with me...!) I saw the video someone posted a while back and came to the same conclusion though - it looks as though they're pretty much stuffed and don't have an alternative anyway - which is why I topped up, what with that and the fact that the deadlines seem pretty tight - which would likely push up the s/p as things get ticked off the list.

The other problem is the volumes of water they claim to be entering the mine on a daily basis. This has to come from somewhere and the sort of volumes they are speaking of are huge compared to standard groundwater, borehole extraction. This would represent the equivalent of draining a small lake daily. I would be interested to see the geology which makes them believe that it will refill at the required rate. I think the likelihood is that within six months the water will start to slow down and the figures will look very shaky at this point. End of.

Alright then, in the interests of sharing. I hope that I'm not being a mug here for posting this, and I also hope that in the future you may look upon me kindly for the odd share tip or two...!! "I have never heard of the Alkali-Barium-Calcium (ABC) process. This is probably because all links on the subject appear to lead back to these people. If it works it is an extremely basic way to clean water. I am worried by the way they appear even in the presentation to totally gloss over the conversion to potable water. In the Europe this is a very complex process in which the type of separation they are speaking about is the very front end of the process. Most of what we would refer to as cleaning is in a box marked 'sterilization' which is totally unexplained. This could be good if the water is cleaned to a sufficient standard. There are two main problems: 1) If the cleaning does not work as perfectly as they say the water is coming from heavy metal mining. Most heavy metals are toxic to humans in very small amounts and the likely hood is as a short term investment it will work, but in the long term their water will be typed back to causing all manner of illnesses. They would be sued out of existence.

Did I say 20% rise... make that 2% after some major stock dumping!
