The reason its free is because no value for Atome is baked into the price.
FTM outwardly bitter and personal again... are you even a shareholder or just someone with a grudge?
The only change in the outlook is Atome, where it looks as though we will receive some sort of a special dividend. In any other company you would be creaming yourself.
PPC will still drill 2 wells in Salta by year end, PPC will still drill in PY H1 2022, Louisiana will have a workover when facilities become available following the recent storms.
These boards astound me, if you do not like the prospects just hit the sell button and put your money elsewhere. I suspect though, like me, we all know its undervalued, we all know a nice little bonus will come from Atome and we all know it cannot stay cheap forever.
Im indifferent, a handful more shares in issue in exchange for a reduction is debt. Will be forgotten once we get some momentum on the drills and farm out.
FTM's earlier post, I dont know how PPC is beneficial to him, I'd imagine its cost him a small fortune in money and time. You seem pretty hell bent on personally hounding Levine rather than looking at the fact that if PPC took external unsecured debt it would be at similar rates and they would have to employ people to run the company/IR etc.
The way I actually read the Atome thing is that it came from an incubator business of his and was introduced to President, as someone else points out, 85% of something is much better than 100% of nothing.
Are you a shareholder Fevertreeman?
Also need to consider that PPC will likely retain a stake therefore its value should increase (to what degree unknown) with Atome.
To flip it around Parky, if PPC didnt somehow offer existing shareholders the chance to participate every man and his dog would be banging on about how its Levine and friends. Whilst placings have taken place over the past few years, they have always included retail, I for one welcome this because it means i don't get left behind (granted ultimately it didnt quite work out).
In addition to which there is also the prospect of being paid Atome shares by way of PPC dividend which would also be useful and something for nothing so to speak.
Its a welcome RNS in my view, an exciting prospect at these early stages. Renewables are a hot topic and command some hefty valuations which hopefully will flow through to President when it retains %.
@Vog - Like by giving them opportunities to participate in a listing and potential shares by way of dividend?
An exciting RNS, I would expect PPC to retain a decent lump of Atome on listing which itself should then boost PPC valuation.
@Fevertree, Just sell the share and move on. I cannot believe someone would willingly put them through this amount of misery holding a stock they don't believe in.
I agree with Vog, we know what to expect given the numbers published in February.
In terms of delays, given the current circumstances and with audit teams working remotely I imagine things take a little longer.
I was hoping the price would go up 40% so you could hit your break even and sell out. This is a hugely positive announcement that will bring a different type of investor to president over time yet you continue to bleat on. Without doubt over the years some mistakes were made, over the last couple of years President has grown into a strong business in somewhat unfortunate times in Argentina.
My initial purchase was 10x yours and I am still optimistic about the outcome and company. If you dont like it dont be invested in it.
Agree in terms of the company enhancing newsflow, given this its in the company interests to announce asap, particularly ahead of any subscription. The issuance of shares has typically accompanied a programme or acquisition.
I've been an investor since Paraguay the first time round and I am the most optimistic I have been as a holder.
Just hoping the coming months more than justify my more recent confidence and purchases.
Parky, you cant just hold back newsflow. If there was something to announce yet then it would be.
It doesnt serve the company to give CGC cheap stock.
I am a long term holder, there is a long way to go before my break even. Things are going in the right direction as is the share price overall. We have loads to look forward to this year, there is plenty of news flow to come hopefully most of which will be positive and give us a much needed boost.
Give it a rest.
My PPC investment is 26% up since the turn of the year, a well just came in and there's a whole host of good things going on right now. more than happy to still be invested and with the progress.
Its ~£25k VOG - so in the scheme of things it isn't huge.
I would also add, that given the share price over the last 12 months they could be selling for a 50% profit. They could be selling for any number of reasons. The price has not budged so clearly there is a market for it.
Its the end of a tax year, a long weekend/Easter.
The update was a solid update, things are on track, progress despite Covid. Ticking the boxes.
"long BH and Covid playing havoc in central America today was probably not the best day for this update and again i wonder who at PPC decide upon when to release news"
All things considered, its an excellent update and progress. Great to see its on track.
@Vog, I'd imagine an RNS saying 'we spudded around a week ago' would not be received very well.
Covid isn't going to clear up in Sth America in 6 days.
Steven49, I think we need to bare in mind that there was a 30%+ drop in average brent prices, an oil price war and a global pandemic.
President did a lot of positive things last year for sure but for any business to even survive 2020 was impressive.
Tell me the negative in that RNS.
If you try make sense of this share price you will go bananas, fact is, there is a lot of value in this share and to make those sorts of savings is incredible. Value has to return at some point.
See what I did there Vog :D
