Yea all the talk of efficiency on argos part is pretty pointless, firstly they are all within a few percent of eacother but also its the volume that they will fall behind on..

Extreme example....
If Argo produces 5 btc with 90% effeciency
Or
Mara produces 50 BTC at 80% efficiency who's winning the race.. Considering the race winner is the one who holds the most btc

Umm yes but there have also been plenty of occasions where things that were said may not reflect reality due to 'mistakes' such as rns inaccuracy, somewhat misleading ipo values, the land for Helios issue there's a lot of info that has been put out by the company that is inaccurate.

That being said, when PW stated that 5-10 figure I took that as being a direct cost to mine I. E. Power costs and not of running the business. All a bit of a moot point though unless we think btc is dropping to below 20k?

Its just seeming to make less and less sense the more successful the miners are the harder the difficulty so end up standing still, hodl is fine but where is the share holder value other than greater fool.

There has to be constant dilution to even stand still, just starting to look silly. What's the end game for the miners?

How do we as sharehders earn a return other than from a greater fool.

How much energy with the btc network require in 10 years time to mine a fraction of the coin... Its like a gone wrong joke.

The eye opener to me there is even with that massive order each machine is still over 11k each.... 878 million spent on machines... How are Argo going to compete to maintain hashrate share...

How are argo even gou g to be able to get supply of machines if the big boys are buying everything..

Ahh it's OK, we have a share in pluto and are letting epic have 5 million in anticipation for some machines?.

5 mill of epic machines better be pretty effecint to compete with 879 mil worth of the latest bit mains.

I've probably got a much higher risk appetite than you, it's not about having the stomach for it or not it's about looking at it from an investment point of view.

I'm still 100% invested with Isa and pension pot and have been for some time.

I'm slowly reaching the conclusion none of the miners are actually 'investments' they are just greater fool plays which will constantly take PI money and not return anything. If btc gets to 60k again I'll be out for good I think... So even more reason for everyone to will it higher :)

Yes unlikely but would just make me chuckle with the dilution and pluto talk he's so fond of.

I hardly post that much these days, there's just not much more to be said until the funding is sorted out for rigs at Helios. I don't need to" try and find a negative" there are some quite obvious negatives that should be apparent to most investors.

Im just jumping on the message board every now and again, usually when someone is talking nonsense that they can't back up or justify such as 'argo will be the best' (it would be nice if you actually answered that though, what do you mean by best?)

As it stands on fundamentals I would put riot and nara way ahead of Argo.

How is argo going to compete with 23eh and maintain its current btc production?

Both mara and riot have $600+ million to spend on machines, argo tried to raise 57 million but could only get 40 million.

Mara and riot can raise more than argos whole market cap and not be to adversely affected.

So back to the original opening line... What do you mean by best?

Ahhh yes that's the one alden mcall, I had mcallen in my head so a nice mixture ha..

I sold out many many moons ago at the largest loss I've ever taken investing, still scars me to this day but a lesson learnt.

I would off been 99% down if I held to today which is an impressive loss for a share that's still trading. Just diluted into oblivion.

I wish all holders luck and hope that you can get out on a spike or some other macro event that let's you bail... I don't even think it's at the point of being tradable anymore.

Ntog was dead before ML took over as ceo, he use to be in real estate and ploughed a lot of his own money into ntog to keep it afloat. I think in the early days he meant well and box berger had the potential to take off. I think he was given a lesson in oiling by Hewitt who saw a green ML coming from a mile off.

I can't rmemeber the name of the guy but ML pulled in someone (m Allen or something like that) and from that point on the company just seem to raise equity and fail at practically every drill.

So many drill locations attempted with the same outcome... The initial reports of x amount of bpd to further raise funds but then after a few days the output drops to practically nothing.

I swear he meant well in the early days, I had alot of personal communications with him and really believed he wanted it all to work.. I lost a small fortune and kept averaging down but there was no bottom.

Now I think it's just listed for listing sake, wouldn't surprise me if another raise comes but the company goes into bitcoin mining instead as it really can't do the oil thing well.

Anyone remember how much that will cost? I know we have done a "down-payment" and the rest is via installments before shipment... But we still need between 80 and 120 million dollars to pay for that (based on 4k-6k for an s90 Pro)..

I just can't see how there won't be a significant raise sometime within the next few months.

Firstly cool handle...

I thought the funding would of been at 150+, which would take us to today's price, I think it all depends on how long it takes to recover.. The bit I find pressing is the lead time of rigs.. Argo are not going to be high up in the pecking order and will have to wait a long ol time for rigs from the likes of bitmain which means Helios will sit practically empty for ages.

The curve ball might be epic and seeing if they can pull a rabbit out the hat and someone fill Helios with some game changing kit as a joint venture.. That would be a game changer.

Now you know I'm not going to buy any more argo until the funding for Helios machines is known. That could mean that there will be some amazing deal announced and it will rocket or as I expect it will mean dilution, if that happens I will take a view at that point and buy more.

I've already done my fair share of bag holding.
