afternoon Ivy.yes it will be interesting to see how it pans out with the nasdaq listing .im certainly not getting my hopes up but if they do retain the listing i assume that whatever is the object of the RTO would have to be of a charatcter to justify a nasdaq listing.whether lumesden will have the qualifications to justify his retention in any role going forward is an open question.interesting times ahead.gla

yes my thoughts also.it would tie in with private ryans observation that a firm decision has not yet been taken on the Nasdaq listing (had not spotted this so thank you PR).under the deficiency notice they have until 21st jan to regain s/p level to support continued listing.they can only get a further 180 days grace if they can provide assurance that they intend to comply within that period.so it suggests that they may feel there is some possibility of retaining the listing within that period by way of the cash shell route.could just be window dressing of course and its just speculation on my part. from my personal point of view at 99%down with a holding now worth just a few hundred pounds i shall just sit it out. might buy some more when we have a bit of progress on the shell situation as I've had some success with shells before although they are very risky.no realistic chance of getting losses back here I'm afraid but i wrote this off entirely mentally a while ago and have been concentrating on recouping the loss in other shares so if we get into a shell situation which looks like might be worth a small punt i can do so with reasonable equanimity.good luck to continuing holders.

personally i wouldn't worry at all about the length of time it is taking to get any substantive news.my own view is that the longer it take the better the outcome is likely to be.if there are multiple parties showing serious interest it could easily take 6 months or more.its just over 3 months now which is not at all unusual.i found some statistics from 2015 which suggested that early responses to the FSP were more likely to be ones where no sale was agreed and that longer responses were ones where it was more likey to result in a sale.now the number of FSAs under consideration was i think only 9 in total aso f course there are not that many of these going on at any one time so the evidence is hardly statistically compelling ,but if you imagine a number of interested parties all trying to get the best (i.e. cheapest) deal for themselves its not difficult to see it taking quite a while. no guarantee of anything at the end of course but I'm happy to wait.also interesting that apart from a couple of very small reductions no TR1s of any significance so far whilst the process unfolds.

interesting question kettle but i don't think there is any choice over it .they simply won't be able to maintain the listing criteria because of the s/p.still at least its a small positive.

subdued indeed Keithbfk.i wish i could offer some words of comfort but we really have no idea where this is going.what iam finding very disappointing is the absence of any news re exciting chinese cbd opportunity.i was concerned at the time that it was just some sort of empty face saving statement but you simply cannot make such statements to the market and then not follow them up without a significant erosion of confidence.there is still time to announce something and i hope my negativity proves unjustified but its not encouraging.that said I'm holding on for the FDA developments which may be enough in themselves to produce a turnaround

interesting comment petebo about tv advertising.i was wondering about that myself.no certainty of course and there needs to be real substance behind the offering to justify it but i think it is perfectly possible and would certainly ignite things imo

agreed watching 2.just look at the official announcements .everything else really is at best optimistic or pessimistic speculation and at worst agenda driven attempts at price influencing.

agree with that PR.its perfectly reasonable to point out the risks to motif if the funding fails and these are made perfectly clear in the RNS, but to suggest that the chosen mechanism to get round the technical difficulty of the placing price is an attempt to confuse investors is to my mind going too far and suggests an unnecessarily negative bias, as does the emphasis on the dilution effect which is .as you, say manifestly inherent in the normal consequences of placings .as you say its hardly the case that we need any determinedly negative interpretation of the situation which is sufficiently negative in its own right to speak for itself.imo its time simply to let the scenario play itself out to whatever end it reaches.gla

PR as you say nothing sispicious here.they are of course holding an EGM to approve the restructuring so suggesting they are trying to avoid this is incorrect.i assume they are adopting this method of ending up with nominal capital in a denomination less than the placing price to avoid the sheer number of shares that would be in issue if they simply changed the nominal value. if they did it that way they would have 10 times the number of issued shares and each share would have a minuscule value.this way in effect they retain the same number of issued shares(the deferred shares can be completely ignored as they have no rights,no value are not admitted to trading). each new tradable non deferred share has the same market value as before the reorganisation but a different nominal value.as you say bigger issues out there than this e.g. survival!
