well puddin I'm sure you do understand, but to answer your question I've no idea whether napster as such will become the overarching brand and I'm not sure it really matters. personally if it is of any significance( and perhaps it is in these times when image etc is key) i think the name napster is far more enticing than melody which to be honest has always seemed to me to be a bit lightweight as a brand name.a bit too "nice "if you know what i mean. when we were having a laugh about renaming melody before the announcement i actually said to my wife that i though "grabster"was my favourite.i was joking but the subsequent napster announcement has convinced me that i now have undoubted powers of vaticination (do you like that one?) apologies for waffling.my point really is that i agree that key synergies are commercial(more attractive user base etc)rather than cost base.for a company in mvrs state of development you wouldn't really expect them to be looking at cost base issues,its all about expansion and customer awareness.imo
