Not being loved this morning by the market. -5%.

Lets see what the day brings but this looks like a disappointment for all longs - me especially.

Kind of used to it now though.

Not the most detailed of trading updates I have seen.

Nothing to frighten the horses but I was expecting something more impressive. Hey ho.

Could be a trade or two to be made here but I will top slice at 30p plus if we get there. Its been a long ride and mostly downhill since I bought 13 months ago here.

Disappointed in truth.

I would like to think the statement will take this past 30p - its an ask but hardly unreasonable. Then I suspect we will drift until August.

If August does not confirm Lewis's long standing promises this will be back into the low 20's again. There is much to prove now and I think patience is pretty much gone for the current management.

Not a lot of faith in the turn around to sell at BE.

No1Plasterer is waiting for 20p IIRC - so you will be back before him - perhaps? Me I think you bottled it far too early - think 40p too early.

Best solution is to filter Aim' he has been a near constant basher who pretends he is long. At least Plasterer was honest enough to declare his hand - sold out and wants back in lower.

Advocate - I think peeps of a certain vintage post because the cars and the history matter to them - not because they are invested.

The whole IPO was an absolute howler and in truth the easiest short in my investing lifetime. Never shorted so hey ho. I have two friends who did buy the IPO - small amount as they got caught up in the whole sorry saga.

The combination of interest and the simple reality of AML's current position make interesting reading between the Bull and Bear case. Sadly I think the Bulls are clutching at straws or being very naive about what Stroll says and does. Most company statements need to be read through the prism of spin and lies in my view and when this is undertaken it is fairly certain AML are in deep trouble. Trouble that they cannot talk out of. The Nebulla saga only adds poor ethics and deceit to the roster.

Nothing I have read would make me buy the shares at any price, a used DBS Volante on the other hand.......

Failing to recognise when a company is heading towards the rocks is many things including delusional. If AML can keep the sp in three figures than a massive RI might be possible but they will need to be in a far better trading position than today to get support.
The headwinds of parts, money at bank (or lack of) plus I suspect the mother of all recessions will I strongly beleive scupper those chances of support.
AML will then be bought out of administration by Mercedes in all likelyhood - they will have forgotten their previous forrays into buying car companies at that point. Poor old Mr Ford learnt a hard lesson with AML back in 2009 after all the coin they spent - Billions bequeathing AML with a stronger car line up than now and a decent HQ and factory to get a miserable £500m for (almost all?) the lot.
Shareholders here will get zilch. Stroll will lose as well but not enough to worry him. It was a clear sell at £10 its a sell I would suggest at any price if you hold more than £1k - thats a few good days out rather than nothing.

Having interest in AML I spent a bit of time reading the Karen piece and thought it very concise and honest in its intent and summary.

To dismiss it is frankly delusional. AML is a racing certainty going to need fresh capital ieo £500m to simply pay it suppliers, beyond that with a recession already here the prospects for them as a PLc are getting worse by the week. If I were a shareholder I would take what I can and run. This has bust written all over it at worst and dilution on a grand scale at best.

NOFEAR - The transfer of ownership from big II's to PI's is NOT in my experience good news. In truth your sheet confirms just how little confidence the City has in the turnaround and why the sp is where it is.

My fear is they have caught wind of the best debt resolution they know of - debt for equity. More or less wipe out for holders here and hence they are leaving with whatever they can carry - not much if they have been here since 2017.

This might explain why no substantial purchase by the BOD has taken place since the shares cratered this year.

CPI have gone from spiky to flat line (at near zero) since December, from almost guaranteeing big sp swings to being stuck at 20p for seemingly forever.
Lots of talk around big shareholders off loading, still lots remain. No TR1 announcements despite the huge recent trade volumes and practically radio silence from the management.
Similarly not a single would be buyer wishing to nick the company for a cheeky 30p.
In fact pretty much nothing.

What a turnaround and what will improve matters - August results? Well last year we did have a run up from 30p to 55p. This year I am not sure what we will start from and indeed whether we will not simply slide further. All very depressing and for once not inducive to add more.
That said 'shorting' is the bravest and silliest thing anyone might wish to do here also.

Its not a positive to see the big holders sell down at 20p off zero. I can recall many an instance in the past where exactly the same slow or indeed not so slow II's sellers kept what most PI's were happy to buy. They all finished badly ie bust for the shareholders.

Dear old CPI is stuck fast like its never been stuck before, the charts have at no point remained this flat for so long. We are either awaiting a correction or the drop will continue. If thats moaning then so be it.

If half of what has been promised were coming true we would not be at 21p - for myself I am almost grateful of the daily falls at least for now ending.

Roll on 65p - if we get there I will be gone.

JG - According to some thats plain nonsense and the MM's are in a conspiracy to thieve your shares away.

Alternatively you are correct and there are currently more sellers (worrying if for no other reason than this is almost an all time low) than buyers.

The tracking the FTSE is somewhat a misnomer as most if not all are above their CV19 lows whereas we are at rock bottom and seemingly without any kind of meaningful recovery to even 30p.

The rampers on here are quite easily the most inept I have read in a long time and as talentless as they are dull and predictable. I wish they would cease.

For everyone long (myself included btw) I am more confident post results than I was before of a decent recovery here, my major concern is the lack of BOD buying. I would have thought they would have grabbed the chance to add at these levels but seemingly no, almost as if the house broker has told them they expect it to fall lower.

The sells are delayed reporting and appear as buys. There is a seller in the market IMO - another II's looking to reduce.

The conspiracy theories around MM's are simply wishful thinking. Until the seller goes this is going no where - those who wanted to buy at circa 20-21p have - I am still waiting for a decent BOD buy - looks like a long wait.

Without good news this will drift lower IMV..

It will be interesting to see what the updated brokers say about todays numbers similarly I will be surprisd if at least two directors do not add significantly to their share holdings.
In all a disapointing day with an almost exact reversal of the early gains into losses within a wider market day with plenty of blue.

Today I beleive marks the turning point for CPI, their prospect are brighter than they have been for some years despite CV19 and indeed the war in Ukraine.

Barring mushroom clouds appearing I beleive 40p is a short term realistic target with possibly 50p by mid summer. Thereafter they need to show income resilience (I fear they are getting too dependant on the governments coin) and a dividend. If they pay even a quarter of earnings as divvy at that point the penny share days will be over and I suspect £1 plus will be back.
