Like a few times before CPI is starting to resemble a coiled spring at maximum compression - the explosion upward will be fast and take out 30p in a morning.

At these levels its a bargain for those who can see past the current difficulties.*

Have they not confirmed the disposals have exceeded their stated target? The concern for me - post 10th Dec is what they have done with the funds.

Cane - I am struggling to see what they could say short of restucture D4E or implien insolvency that could take this lower on the 10th.

I suspect a bounce will be pretty much nailed on unless it is curtains. The question is what level. Like you I have stopped trying to pick the bottom here - it has not stopped me putting in over 10k since the trading statement - Doh. No more though until I see just what they say next week.

The chart since the 10th Dec is relentless and from an investment POV a disaster.

Folk on here calling the bottom at every number since then have been proved very much in the wrong. The lack of any II buying - its half what Schroders bought for in mid Summer is a concern leave aside of the recent big seller. I guess it discounts they are inside on this as more would have followed them.

They are either of the belief this will come good (2024?) or they are going down with the ship.

A week to find out whther this might scrabble back into the 30's or slide down to sub 20's. Truly shocking and easily the worst post CV19 share out there IMO - no respite on even up days.

In truth that is forgivable is anything else though? The sp says disaster beckons I very much hope the sp is wrong.

It is demoralising and then some.

The steady decline even on up days is the major concern here. The lack of shorters over 0.5% is of some comfort - those in the know seem to be inside in my experience.

29p looks locked on - do I add some more or see what the results bring? It will need to double to take them back near the year highs which pretty much everyone on here thought was a stepping stone to 70p plus.

We could not have been more wrong myself included.

Many including myself had convinced themselves CPI were on track to say pretty much good things at the update - the reality was pretty downbeat.

With hindsight we would all have sold out at the twice touched highs of 53-55p indeed many also thought with those breached 65-75p was nailed on.

I bought a few more on Monday and may buy some more if we get to 32p which would make them the lowest buy I have made todate. Will add again if we reach 30p likewise 28p. I will be sorry to be able to buy more below this but this share is truly like a yoyo and it will catch us all out at some point.

Some less easily troubled will have bought more. I did.

Once again posters on here demonstrate they know nothing about the market or the most basic details on how it operates.

Shares that look bombed can and very often sink without trace. Sure they go up and down on their decent to the gurgler but for folk in at higher levels its a question when you get off the bus or when you end up at suspension or D4E wipeout / admin.

You may be correct with your prediction but equally quite wrong - no one knows. What they do know is CV19 is still here, peeps are not flying for loads of reasons and RR need that to change before next Spring or they will breach their banking arrangemements.

Given thats increasingly likely selling at full whack ITP is unlikely if at all and the problems compound. The yanks would love to get the SMR business on the cheap so engineering a collapse of RR would suit them well.

This share has real problems before its in the clear. I suspect it will need at least a further RI ala Easyjet yesterday. Dilution again for existing holders.

Up for it? if so why buy now.

They will need another placing I am certain, as a distressed seller I am increasingly doubtful they will get what they previously beleived was theirs with the sale of ITP.

Jam maybe in a few years time but today and for 2022/3 this is looking beleaguered. Sell.

I hope you are correct.

I believe they will be passing the hat round again next year as the money runs out. The assumptions made at the last RI are proving to be wildly out regarding air travel, throw in the net zero nonsense and the changes people operate more widely and the number of air miles flown will IMV never recover.

This is not the safe bet folk averaging down beleive it to be.
