Let's assume the budget increases materially taxation (30% or. More), the company won't be able to pay the interests on it's debt

Let's assume the budget increases only marginally the tax rate (22-27%) the current issues would still exist with less fcf available

I would suggest a buy after the budget as it is likely the market will overreact

It wouldn't be risk free anyway

It could be evoke. Unlikely being entain (that would be extremely stupid after their 700m fine), unlikely being flutter (but not impossible given their previous exposure to India via Betfred) so it might well be evoke possibly via mr green? The article talks about it as a tier 1 operator so can't be Boyle or Betfred (I assume)

They can’t grow. They’re overpaying on their debt. And the current management clearly can’t think outside their little black box.

My prediction on Evoke:

The gaming tax is likely to increase to 37–40%.

Shares could fall to around €40–45, possibly dipping lower on the Monday following the announcement.

Bondholders may pressure shareholders to initiate a sale process.

There are no clear strategic buyers at this stage — Entain and Flutter are unlikely to be options.

A private equity buyer may be circling, but is likely to bid 30–40% below expectations, delaying any transaction until H1 2026.

In the meantime, tech integration continues to lag, and we could see the exit of some C-level executives.
