Well there were never optional for me must be just for the lefties, the Tories put up my taxes a lot mostly dividend tax (which is a double taxation as corporation tax already paid along with many other taxes like VAT, employers NI etc) and CGT followed by Labour who have added a whole lot more, with the very poor borrowing figures out today and pressure from Angela Rayner looks Rachel from complaints pencilling in more tax rises.
The irony of it all is these tax rises are reducing the tax take hence more borrowing, CGT up 80% for standard rate tax payers CGT tax take down 10%, NI will take more time feed in as not easy to get rid of staff but can stop hiring/replacing and will outsource more but adding to inflation which will lead to larger pay rises for Government workers fuelling more inflation, borrowing and taxes. Labour say there first priority is growth and they tax jobs, you can’t make this up, all part of the great Labour doom loop.
Some good examples are VAT on school fees, over 100 private schools closed down and many pupils added to state education some of which have over 2 hours a day taxi ride paid by tax payers as no room in local schools adding to the tax burden. George Osborne rose stamp duty on expensive houses, froze the market and end up with lower tax take and less mobile work force, Maggie Thatcher substantially dropped taxes and tax take went up a lot, borrowing reduced to near 0 and economy boomed, Tony Blair spent it all along with huge borrowing increase and PFI which we are paying for more than a generation.
Since Labour came to power 13 Billionaires and 11,000 millionaires left UK, the left say we don't care, we don’t need them, let them go, that fine if the lefties pay for lost taxes but most of these have very little and just say add the taxes on to them over there, unfair to tax us as we don't earn much but love the benefits and seeing Labour squeeze the rich.
Labour now in panic mode, immigration and unfair removal of winter fuel allowance, illegal immigration costs are huge and rising by the day and they have not got a clue what to do about it after ruling out a lot of the options before the election and the saving form the winter fuel allowance already spent many times over so more pressure for tax rises.
I say unfair removal of winter fuel allowance even for those who do not need it as these people paid for the winter fuel allowance for previous generation and now after paying for it told you don’t get it as it is unfair.
