Telechips will be deploying the In Cabin Monitoring System (ICMS) solution for US-based FPGA company Xilinx, marking the first time for the two firms to work together.

Telechips said on Jan. 9 that the vehicle safety solution – also known as the Driver Monitoring System (DMS) would be applied to the Xilinx’s Dolphin 3, a high-end product scheduled to be launched this year.

In the bmw concept car SEE we’re doing eye gesture stuff. I looked but didn’t sit in it.
It’s all coming though.
Doors open doors that’s for sure. The more SEE stick their head above the trenches the more companies will ask can you do this or that to integrate it into our products?

Having SEE on the BMW stand with a demo outside, tech on the concept car & Mike Lenne talking on the stage shows how highly we are regarded by BMW.

Chatted with the lovely Sophie and very professional and tight lipped as you would expect. Busy busy busy seems to be the mode SEE are in. I was hoping to chat to Nick but he was busy as hell doing his stuff so hopefully taking/creating orders. Cenkos were also there so spent some time chatting so looking forward to his update in due course.
So I don’t think it’s a case if it’s happening but when. Unfortunately i lost my crystal ball so it could fly next week or next year or so?

But fly it will ;)

Part 1 Visited the DMS exhibition here in Vegas for day & half and was very interesting. Spoke to loads of people on the stands about DMS and supply chains etc and it’s looking very positive for SEE.
IMO Bosch & Continental are SEE & many others could /should/are using SEE through already won contracts & rumours discussed on here & elsewhere. They need to win contracts and supply now. Although if they don’t win someone like Qualcomm might already have sold with SE already.
On stepping off the mono rail train wrapped in veoneer branding (SEE) looking at the huge BMW stand (SEE) & walking to North hall with the entire front banners Byton ads (SEE) I think it starts giving you a feel where the DMS business is heading in the World.

We won’t win all contracts as the markets too big & we couldn’t cope but Colin at Semicast may still be in the low side in his estimates. If played right iam sure SEE will smash it but all contracts need to still be won. The new chip could take us to infinity & beyond as dumps us in mass penetration territory.

It’s so big though takes hour to find one stand and they dotted over everywhere. Some have multiple stands.

GM on Monday pledged to work with Qualcomm on advanced driver-assistance technologies. The two companies have done business together for years, with Qualcomm supplying wireless connectivity for GM’s OnStar service.

Last night in NY, so Korean BBQ and few beers b4 finding some s****y rooftop bar in Manhattan for celebration ****tails. flight to Vegas early morning. Can’t wait to get to show and start talking. Only got a day & half at show though so will be on my toes as the show is pretty big.

I was hoping a good flow of news this year and decided to attend. But so far it’s over what I was expecting.

Continental & Bosch & a win or 2 will make it a great week.

Can’t wait to see the business update RNS, hopefully this month.
