All we can do is speculate as until its official news its only our speculation. So much great research on here though so its a case of joining the dots up.

SEE is worth over £1 a share

Ridiculous as it might sound, when Seeing Machines is currently 4p a share, I believe its intrinsic value is even now well over £1 a share. This is because it will continue to dominate the automotive driver monitoring niche for the next few years at least.

Anyway, here’s my thinking in a nutshell. I’ve based my valuation on auto alone as I think that is the real driver of value with SEE (excuse that pun!).

In the note he pointed out details on the deals already done. I’ve outlined my thoughts on them here:

OEM 1 [General Motors] — Supercruise will be rolled out to entire range of Cadillacs (some 350,000 cars by end 2021). Thereafter, I’d expect it to go into most of GMs 10m cars.
OEM 2 [Mercedes] — Programme is just for its flagship S Class saloon car, equivalent to 5% of the total cars produced.
OEM 3 [BMW] — stated minimum contract value of USS$25m. However, BMW sells 2.3m cars a year and Fovio chip will be rolled out across the entire group.
OEM 4 [Ford] — F-150 is a phenomenal earner for Ford and last year Adam Jonas, the famous Morgan Stanley analyst, stated the franchise could be worth more than Ford itself. It has been estimated that Ford will is planning to produce around 1m a year of these in the future. I expect Ford will also roll it out across other car models in due course. Note that Ford produced 6.6m cars in 2017.
OEM 5 [Byton] — relatively small volumes but I’d expect them to grow and other premium electric cars to put Fovio into their offerings.

At Mobile World Congress 2019 the German automotive giant unveiled gaze recognition technology that will let drivers to control the inside of the car using only their eyes.

A high-definition camera mounted in the dashboard will track a customer’s head and eyes to precisely identify what they are looking at – either inside or outside the car.

BMW claims drivers will be able to look outside the car windscreen at a restaurant they are passing and learn its menu, opening hours and even book a table.

Gaze recognition will be available to customers for the first time in the BMW iNEXT as of 2021 alongside improved gesture and voice recognition in a package the German car manufacturer is calling Natural interaction.

They would also be able to control their car’s central system with swipes of the hand and gestures, BMW announced.

But Jaguar Land Rover says its version is far more advanced to other options on the market.

Iam sure it’s one of the possibilities but the 2 or 3 reasons I can see are.
1. Oems not keen on complete dependency under one umbrella
2. Let us do the hard work getting the contracts.
3. Our location - with most contracts in Europe & USA add another 20 hrs travelling time from Europe.

Iam sure in 1-3 years will be a few interested no doubt.

Mobileye are a great example of cream rises to the top.

Millions of home delivery companies, but Amazon leads the way. So many internet search engines but Google leads the way. Many computer & phone manufacturers around but Apple lead the way & how many tv streaming Companies out there but Netflix have the edge.

Just goes to show with the right USP the World is your oyster.

If hes been talking to Institutions or private investors for a few months, then over the past few Weeks we have had 3 Fords, Including the best selling car in USA with F150, The new Merc S Class, A tie up with Airbus & a Roll out announced for Cadillac & GM, with a new launch Imminent. Who wouldn't be excited being shown a Company that most have never heard of?

All this news & we havent had anything official from SEE. If i was a buyer I would be thinking wow this is a best kept secret.

Solutions here include Seeing Machines, which is monitoring eye movement for evidence of micro-sleeps and distraction. Fleetsafe includes a camera and some smart analytical software which looks at the road ahead and keeps the driver alert to any dangers and changes in road conditions ahead, reducing problems from distraction

Driverisk is also using cameras to monitor driver behaviour, but takes a more holistic approach and is monitoring for any behaviour it perceives as dangerous, these are then recorded and a the operator gets data on potentially dangerous incidents on the road.

ConnectSource also play in this space, but is best described as an enabler. It will assess a customer’s needs and create a package using many of the components listed above to come up with a custom solution.

Getting some really precise data in this space can be difficult. Some suppliers will claim market dominance with little substantiation whilst others say they are the only ones with a particular technology.

Diesel will be going deeper into the whole subject of in cab technology area in its next issue, as an ongoing investigation of convergence.

Looking through the Tesla supply chain. Only 1 company stands out that I know with connections to us. Gentex were doing something at CES and there was alot of talk from Colin on rear view cameras with DMS. So at least theres a link. Lets hope they get talking!!
