At present, Qualcomm ranks first in the three major areas of telematics, vehicle connectivity, and next-generation smart ****pits. At the same time, it has provided technical services to 36 auto brands including Cadillac, Mercedes, Tesla and NIO. The number of connected cars using Qualcomm's solution has reached 200 million, and more than 25 car companies have chosen to use the Snapdragon car digital ****pit platform.

In addition, Qualcomm is also actively promoting the research and development of autonomous driving technology through mergers and acquisitions. In Anmeng's own words, Qualcomm has an excellent advantage in the field of ADAS.

It is worth noting that in terms of chips, Qualcomm announced that the next generation of Arm-based CPUs will have more powerful performance, which will initially be used in Windows PCs, and then will be expanded to mobile devices, automobiles, and data centers. It is said that the new generation of SoC will be able to keep pace with Apple's M series chips, and is expected to be available in 2023.

Least the news is out there doing the rounds.

“As the aviation industry looks to the future of intelligent aircraft design, understanding the cognitive state of the pilot and crew is paramount,” said Christophe Blanc, vice president & general manager, Business & Regional Avionics for Collins Aerospace. “Pilot workload and wellbeing are key focus areas of our avionics design, and this collaboration will allow us to further support the pilots and their needs.”

Once completed, the PSS technology will be available to aircraft OEMs and operators as both forward-fit and after-market solutions.

The next few months could well throw up a few $125m contracts. Still got the rest of that $1b RFQs to chew through yet. With Ford, BMW, GM etc all going EV crazy, new deals with Ambarella & Omnivision and then what Qualcomm are upto we may even see 1 or 2 higher than $125m. Fingers crossed.

If they can wrap up a few of them it might just work on a SP shift.

Consider that single GMC Hummer the opening shot of a new electrified front in the automakers' long-running truck war.

General Motors made the first move, but Ford Motor Co. is preparing to open the floodgates on the electric pickup segment with the F-150 Lightning this spring. GM last week revealed its next salvo, a Chevrolet Silverado EV that will surpass the Lightning with 400 miles of range in 2023. And Stellantis said it's constantly adjusting the specs of the Ram EV due out in 2024 as it learns what the competition is promising.

Volvo is gearing up for its next generation of electric vehicles with a few interesting debuts: a new electric SUV coming soon, a new highway-only self-driving technology called Ride Pilot that the new vehicle will get, and a new subscription service so drivers can actually use Ride Pilot.
Volvo is testing its autonomous tech on roads in Sweden and plans to start testing Ride Pilot in California later this year. California is also where the automaker plans to launch Ride Pilot for its customers.
Volvo will be asking owners to pay to use Ride Pilot (costs were not announced).
Volvo will debut more than a new model when it reveals an electric SUV later this year. The new flagship will introduce three key items, starting with the vehicle itself. The other two are a new, unsupervised autonomous driving feature called Ride Pilot and a subscription service that enables the use of the self-driving technology. Also of note is that when it launches, Ride Pilot will first be available in California before being "gradually" rolled out to other markets and regions. DMS was one thing then add OMS and all the extras that paul mentioned then your a fraction of what I believe it is.

Add the 11.7p gaff to forgetting $125m contract to the last report does raise questions indeed.
We need a good PR broker to introduce us to where the $ money is. Plenty of tech funds out there with deep pockets & prepared to buy and sit for a couple years Iam sure. Just need to package us up and talk to as many fund managers as possible.

We do need the big boys buying on the open market to start pushing up our SP for sure. I’ve spent years talking to friends & colleagues about DMS investing and although many are now in from $5k to $100k initial investments they might be sitting on $10-300k each but now we need the $1m + funds to start waking up and putting us in their portfolios.
The money’s certainly out there. Just gotta sniff it out.

Iam hoping that white paper was done to explain our tech to a higher calibre of investor.

Cenkos has fleet installations at 317k by 2030 so in about 8/9 years increase of about 280k. What’s taken us 10yrs on average we will be hitting that every year so once ramps up it starts becoming very lucrative indeed.
At $A2000 for hardware and $A720 yr monitoring before distributor discounts I find it hard to understand why but rockers don’t put much value on it?
Do the maths and it’s an incredible businessman on its own. Be interesting when we start announcing factory fitted units aswell

Thanks for the technical info. Theres some great techies on here who understand stuff 100x more than me. Thats why i go off others and Colins blurb. For me i look at techie terms in a different way...

I would to see a comparison of all the various DMS/OMS Companies tech wise. All i know is i have for years how far ahead and that seems to be the same now. If not more infact?

I agree keeping the best engineers & techies as well as other staff is key to success. If they own a slice they want to succeed aswell.

Shame the SP hasnt jumped to what i was hoping on a good CES but we certainly seemed to have won the news & PR at CES with DMS/OMS & partnerships.

I guess sit back now and wait contract news in Auto, while hoping for a nice surprise in Fleet & Aviation in the meantime.

Sure the market will eventually wake up to it.
