Being best friends with barbaric dictatorships should be a pretty obvious giveaway that we don't. At least be honest about your bloodlust and willingness to send other people to die for it, instead of trying to pretend it's noble.

This usually falls back on results but from the 230-240 range, rather than 255. So in a way it's not as bad as before

Well done all who held. It hasn't been easy seeing this tick down over recent weeks. And seeing the (at least for me) unexpected fall during the last update. But the fundamentals were always sound.

The market's reacted very positively. I'm overall happy, but slightly kicking myself as I sold a third of my holding last week...

Indeed it feels like it's massively oversold again. Just like they were after the not too distant previous drops. Patience is likely to be rewarded.

IHG is up by a similar amount following their update. Has probably boosted sentiment generally hence the Whitbread increase (combined with the already improved sentiment following Whitbread's better than expected update).

I bought in at 28 so I'm not thrilled by the current price, but I'm happy with the results. Steady in a not a very favourable environment. I suspect the market anticipated underperformance, but that hasn't transpired and so it was to some extent oversold (hence the reasonable recovery today).

About to get quite the surge tomorrow morning.

Have kept adding over the last week and couldn't help but do so again this morning.

JPM rerating today to 210 which probably helped with the morning bump to the price. May have to be a touch patient here, but I'm confident it won't take too long for this to move up to where it should be.

I did the same this morning in anticipation of market-pleasing results tomorrow. Not long until I know how wise or foolish that was.

Well I look silly as I was expecting a circa 5%-10% increase! An overreaction and oversold. Took the opportunity to top up again. It also wasn't that long ago when FT published the takeover rumours. If the share price remains suppressed after results like these then I'd expect them to start swirling again.

Tomorrow's the day. The price hasn't fallen away much since the last update, so excellent results are probably already priced in somewhat. Nevertheless still expecting a decent increase if they are as good as expected.

Based on previous updates I would expect a circa 8-10% uplift (assuming the whole index isn't being dragged down on the day by broader concerns).

It hasn't flown like I thought it would, so I used it as an opportunity to top up further. Really happy with the results and trajectory.
