I bought in at 293 last week but there we go! I think this is massively oversold but ultimately sentiment is everything. It will take time for that to change.

It wasn't a dig at you at all. I don't know who you are. I do however often see posts on here lamenting the lack of capital growth. I can't help but think those posters haven't sufficiently diversified. I would love capital growth more like Aviva, but 'only' receiving circa 9% from LGEN suits me fine as it only makes up part of my portfolio (and so my average across the sector is substantially higher).

Because he's not a clown and will have diversified across companies within a sector in addition to the sector itself. Anyone that continually laments the performance of a single share clearly hasn't properly diversified their portfolio.

Yes good shout, I suspect their purchases played a big part in the price rise at opening. I've seldom seen such a sharp rise and fall and now it makes a lot more sense.

Friday's RNS explained they didn't expect the sale to complete until the end of 2025, so I assumed they wouldn't also acquire their 5% until closer to that time. Nice surprise that they've gone in straight away.

The index is dropping and so LGEN is too. Anything at this price or lower is very good value (IMO as a long term holder).

The footnote says the 5% holding will be acquired through market purchases

Looks like a volatile week ahead. LGEN tends to not fare well when that's the case.

They are fair points. Even on reasonable updates the price has been hammered. I think the current price does represent value and is close to the bottom, but the market may well be more demanding than I and other private investors are (just look at this and other boards where posters have said for months it can't go much lower and it's done precisely that).

Decided today will be my entry point. I see lots of potential upside (potential being the key word - I'm well aware the price has meandered for some time).

Brilliant update. Added again in anticipation of a rise leading up to results.

This one doesn't get too much love other than on results or an update. I topped up a couple of weeks ago but I'm not expecting much upside until the results.

Would add to that he should probably look into the scandal of Netanyahu funding Hamas, which the Israeli media heavily criticised him for (but has been tellingly seldom mentioned in western media).

Really pleased with the update. Wish I'd topped up even more on the dip!

To respond to my own post, their financial calendar shows an update is to be provided tomorrow.

Wonder if there will be a business update in January as with the previous years. Positive news could see the momentum continue, which would be a very nice start to the year!

You needed someone to tell you governments don't stick to their promises? And you think Nigel will be different? You're probably too young to have realised (but hopefully you will one day) that anyone who wants power shouldn't be allowed it.
