If Tesla was launching hydrogen powered vehicles you would have read it in every credible news source from the Financial Times to Autocar in pretty much every country in the world. Critical thinking ???

Tesla is an intensively studied and scrutinised company. No way this is a genuine leak from such an obscure organisation. If it was genuine it would have been picked up and repeated by a hundred other journals, newspapers and websites. It has not - why?

Because it is fake.

In an analYsis of possible tax changes in the Sunday Times today, they suggest that any changes in CGT would be immediate ie midnight That day to ensure they get the revenue. Allowing investors time to cash in early at a lower rate is not sensible for a govt that is desperate for the money.

Not certain about this but I recall when the purchase annoucement was made a few on here protested until the size of the unit was revealed.

It is market recognition of the above, as presented at the meeting last week, that is driving the share price increase.

Daz is beyond pessimistic. He has a conscious bias that leads him to make comment without first thinking.

Example on ‘who knows if they make good products’. A few seconds thought would identify Speedy as knowing that they make good products ( for the construction hire market). We can be assured of this because that is The Speedy business, and as a successful and large supplier to the industry, Speedy know what their customers do, and do not, want.

Speedy evidence their assurance by setting up and investing a large slab of money into a JV to provide this kit to their customers.

While it is statistically possible that everyone at Speedy involved in the transaction is a complete f*ckwit, is seems unlikely.

The big takeaway is that evidence of fact lies outwith the population of users on this board, and looking in the right place gives much higher assurance than somewhat biased and significantly under-informed opinions found here.

Excellent news. The Ceres kit is a perfect match for huge volumes of petrochemical processing plants that India has —exactly the same application as Shell.

Using 'waste' heat from an existing process to generate clean H2 to feed directly back into that process as a fuel/feed stock. As close to alchemy as you can get and every big plant operator is going to want some of that. Very good news indeed.

No official reason for the PEM/Alkali split as ordered has been published that I am aware of. So my hypothesis - wind/solar outputs vary due to the prevailing weather. However, given an array of solar or the number of turbines on a large wind farm, the 'normal operating' variation is nowhere near as extreme as it would be for a single turbine - averaging of averages etc.

That means that for a large array, there will be a nett 'core' base load for which there (in effect) little or no variation in output and a 'margin' where the degree of variation would be material.

For electolysers that means that there is an opportunity to mix alkali (base load) and PEM (variations) and the trick is to work out what the optimum balance of plant would be. As we know PEM is a more expensive capital option, but you need to work out the capital and operating costs versus what mix gets you the optimal level of output (and income). None of which is a five minute Excel job.

I suspect that the RWE facility was designed to explore exactly this problem with 'live ammunition'. Interestingly, they have made a (working) assumption about a 'possible' configuration balance in the ITM/Sunfire kit they ordered. BUT this is a test site, so wariness in drawing conclusions. This is a VERY interesting engineering/financial/economic problem for ITM to be part of.
