Ordered some stuff from My Protein yesterday and it was delivered today within less than 24 hours. I find that impressive. Ingenuity must be doing something right. I’m surprised more firms haven’t jumped on board. A lot cheaper than building your own fulfilment capability. Ingenuity must also be very keenly priced as they need to take on additional clients. Wonder what’s holding potential new clients back. Bit of a mystery really.

Does anyone understand why THG is offering 10% off if you order via the app rather than the website? Surely margins are thin enough here without giving another 10% away. Is there some research that shows that if you have the app you are more likely to stay a loyal customer? Its the only reason I can think of, and even then I’d suggest a 5% discount is more than enough.

A very sober but likely realistic assessment I’m afraid. I’ve commented previously about how long this blooming rebrand has taken.

Seems a bit odd (and naughty) that Muller have a muller light protein pudding and a muller My Protein pudding. So the first seems to be a generic protein pudding and the second is a My Protein branded pudding. Hope they’re not trying to leverage off the My Protein brand in their light pudding without having to pay any royalties to THG. Sounds like Muller are trying to have the best of both worlds. I would have thought that THG could have negotiated a bit harder and insisted that the entire Muller protein range was labelled My Protein. Otherwise the consumer might think that all of the Muller range contains My Protein and Muller benefits from this but THG does not.

Could it be because the expected bottom line impact isn’t material? MM has previously downplayed the revenue contribution from licenced products. I hope I’m wrong though and that THG have managed to agree a better commission on these partnership product sales.

Indeed. Offer worth £31 a share rejected by the Board and here we are languishing at £21 a share. Brilliant eh.

THG management often mention FX issues impacting results. Have they not heard of FX hedging to reduce the volatile effects of FX movements.

I hope you’re right Venture Capital and that they manage to increase sales by targeting a broader audience. If they are successful in doing this (and at the same time retain their existing customers) then we should see the evidence soon, especially considering that the protein market as a whole continues to grow. If not then heads need to roll I’m afraid.

If THG nutrition sales continue to stall given the favourable market backdrop then serious questions do need to be asked. I’m yet to be convinced that this whole rebrand thing has been worth the effort and the distraction .

I have to say I don’t understand why people are so easily influenced. Why would anyone buy something because an ‘influencer’ has been paid to promote it. It’s a very strange world.

Seems to be taking an awfully long time. RNS this morning says that by the end of Q3 80% of product will have been rebranded. This seems to have been going on for a year. How much old stock were we carrying for goodness sake. Also does anyone actually know what the whole rebrand thing actually amounts to. Is it just new packaging. I fear the whole thing may turn out to be an expensive distraction.

Glad to hear he’s well. Makes his radio silence on THG all the more disappointing though. Wonder how many days a month he works for THG.

Anyone know what’s happening with the invisible man. There have been hints that the man is unwell and I’m sorry if that is the case. But if he is incapable of performing his role effectively should someone not be appointed as temporary chair. I’ve just read the Balfour Beatty annual report for 2023 and it shows that he has attended all of their Board Meetings as their Chairman so it does seem that he is still working. All a bit of a mystery.

How bizarre that some people still think this is an appropriate place to carry on their pointless arguments for and against Russia/Ukraine. It will solve absolutely nothing and just bores the pants of genuine investors who have an interest in the Polymetal share price. Enough already.

Never heard of sitejabber but hardly surprising since it’s got a grand total of 600 reviews of lookfantastic, whereas there are over 250,000 reviews on Trustpilot with a very high average score. I think I’ll rely on Trustpilot rather than site jabber to be honest.
