Out of interest does anyone know if this is staying with THG or is it yet another bauble which has landed in Matt’s Christmas ingenuity stocking.

I don’t know about HL SIPP but Interactive Investor will allow you to keep ingenuity shares in your SIPP.

I’m afraid that’s incorrect. You will have to remove Ingenuity shares from your HL ISA within 30 days. It’s government regulations.

I’m hoping he goes all in with Ingenuity meaning that his holding in remainco is significantly reduced and thereby removing his control.

That’s shocking if HSBC are not allowing you to choose to take Ingenuity shares. What sort of a broker are they!

@1pencil I hope you’re right about a further potential share price rise. I’m a little fearful that with Ingenuity, the supposed jewel in the crown, gone for a song then the post demerger share price might actually fall. I sincerely hope my fears are unfounded. I’ve hedged my bets by taking slightly more than my allocation of Ingenuity shares.

@dpws500 I’m afraid not. If you read to the end of the HL email you will see that they say the ingenuity shares will have to be removed from the ISA within 30 days.

Yes they will. They replied to me yesterday saying they were finalising their comms on the de merger. Pretty tardy of them but it’s coming.

The default option is to take no ingenuity shares. The deadline is 19th dec I think but your broker may have set an earlier deadline to permit them to process the choices.

It’s fairly common to have limited functionality on the app. HL is the same. For full functionality you have to login to the website I’m afraid.

Not sure about IG but Interactive Investor have the options available for taking ingenuity shares. Hargreaves still don’t have any details about taking ingenuity shares.

Still nothing on my HL ISA account giving me the option to elect for Ingenuity shares. Don’t know what’s keeping them. The clock is ticking. I’ve messaged them today so hopefully they will reply soon.

Given the poor track record of the shares I doubt even the staff are too enthused about the prospect of being given more. Even more so if the intention is to give Ingenuity staff free shares in Ingenuity, a private company.

Thanks 404. I found the General Meeting vote on the HL website. I’ll sit tight and await the notification for the Ingenuity share election.

Still heard nothing from HL about the General Meeting vote or the ingenuity share election. Everyone else in same boat?

I wonder did Matt get a seat at the top table for the State Banquet last night for the Amir of Qatar. Or was he there in his role as state jester. 😂

@Elmsley if you’re still around I’d be interested in your thoughts on the now published Articles of Association and Shareholders Agreement. I think you said that you had a fair bit of experience in drafting these for other companies. It would be good to know where the Ingenuity documents differ from the norm.

PS I also agree completely with your comments on the lack of information provided to small shareholders.
