The plural of anecdote is not data.

There are unbiased institutional market research suggesting CINEMA will return to pre pandemic revenue by 2025, if not sooner. Old wives tales notwithstanding.

Streaming would never replace cinema. Streaming was replacing overpriced Cable and commercial heavy TV.

That led me to believe the ad hoc lenders want to deter buyers and therefore decrease valuation as they want 100% of the equity to themselves.

A blunt instrument, maybe will not work on institutions that have better knowledge in the industry. But it does wonders to deter retail, and in turn, hype/momentum.

A couple hundred million is at least 3x the current market cap.

It is at least a 6B endeavour. A couple hundred Million might make more of a difference for us than the(possible) buyer.

They already said CINE was scheduled to exit bankruptcy on Q1. Now it is moved to end of May. The judge telling Cine's lawyers to play fair and prolong the proceedings is actually better for us in the face of increasing revenue. (By being more attractive to buyers)

On that note, what docket do they have the current earnings. Does it include concessions/advertising?

Those seem to earn a significant bulk of the revenue. Aside from ROW itself which is excluded from this whole ordeal.

Not if they already have the votes secured. Pun intended. If CINEs secured indebtedness is 6b, cine is then valued as 5.9B. Secured lenders who has to be made whole first before everyone else can, in theory take everything.

Unless we get a major flop, March is looking like last year's summer months.

I agree that propping up the will make the potential buyers offer a higher amount. But...

If CINE is valued lower, a lot more of the junior and unsecured creditors will get haircuts or go empty handed. Making it less palatable for 'some' creditors lower down the food chain.

We really need to see the RSA aka the Plan.

Is there a clear benefit to cine to disguise hide the company's current standing financially?

I.e. as karl said, will the shareholders benefit if the company looks very good/very bad in terms of a D4E or a possible sale.

We all knew Vue made an offer and I would think they made a test non binding offer to gauge the BOD.
We also now know Plex made an offer.

I am wondering if selling by subsidiary instead of as a group is better for the value.
