The trade on Friday afternoon was Oil. Aviation will drop at least 10% tomorrow and the Oilers will move up 5%. The blockade is going to create a Global Recession, $150 Oil is looming and fuel shortages look nailed on. People don’t understand that Iranians don’t give a feck about their economy, the environmental consequences, they have lived under sanctions for decades and have strong coping mechanisms. They see themselves as Martyrs against the Western World and this is their moment. This saga is going to seriously affect the economy of the UK, I just wish I sold all my fecking Wizz shares at 2pm on Friday.

@Emerald: I did read your post but you have to understand that Crude Containers are subject to very high inspection standards imposed by the IMO. Old Rusty containers are not just bobbing about the sea for random clients to rent! It is a highly regulated industry and so it should be. Your plan is utter nonsense, you can tell when a super tanker is loaded, it can sink up to 20 Metres in the water. The Iranians have been preparing for this moment for 47 years, tankers will only go through when the IRGC allow it.

At today’s prices a VLCC tanker carries $200 Mill worth of Oil and the tanker themselves cost $120 Mil to build. A loss of $320 Mil is a risk most owners and insurers would never take, and further to that the loss of life makes it a definite no go. The Iranians have got us by the short and curlies, the best result for us, is Donald walks away and they charge us a $ a barrel for the privilege.

I see that the stated short is now 13.6%, definitely a Bull sentiment emerging.

The 4 Billion is whilst their at peace, during the last two years it is estimated to be North of 20 Billion. Israel could not function as a Military superpower without Uncle Sam.

The Ukraine story broke at 10:15 this morning and it did spike a couple of points at the tine. I can’t see Wizz jumping 12% on that news. It is my view a shorter has made for the door, but we will see in a couple of days.

Hi Bobbins, it depends how many are underwater. I reckon at least half of them are underwater now and anything over 1000p starts becoming uncomfortable. We only need 4% of shorts running for the door and we will get a squeeze. Something is kicking off.
