Well said and further to that the software that LSE use to determine a buy and a sell is onerous to say the least, it is not accurate at all. I never take any notice of the buy and sells, cream will always rise to the top.

I have to say that even I am totally surprised where this share is going, is there something going on in NEX or are them sneaky MM’s having one last roll of the dice. At these prices I am just going to have to jump back in.

@JWD: Of course it will affect the SP. When this market get backs to normal and becomes more bull than bear you will find that most investors will invest for dividends that was always the desire to own stocks, to generate dividends. Generally over the last 10 years the the divi was 10p a share. The dividend amount is divided by the number of shares. After the RI allocation, the divi Will be reduced by 40-50% as there will be a further 1.3 to 1.5 billion shares in circulation depending where the SP finishes next week. Where the SP ends up on announcement and after the ex rights date is down to sentiment and bullishness, I am taking the view it is better to be out than in. GLA, DYOR.

I only joined the party here a couple of weeks ago and my average price is 130p so no issue on a loss. I stumbled across this share and having looked into the company it is a cert two bagger in 24 months, the problem with you young uns is you spend too much time looking at the SP and not enough time looking at the value of the company. In the old days we used to look at the Sunday times and the Telegraph on a Wednesday to see how the shares were moving because we were investors back then, the only people who get rich now are the share platforms because most people find it difficult to keep a stock more than a nano second.

Hi Croft: your Maths is way out, I can tell you now IAG are not going to issue 27.5 billion shares that would be complete and utter madness. Currently IAG have 1.986 Billion shares in circulation and they want to raise 2.5 million pounds it will be done in a way to reduce the shares in circulation, share dilution is no good for either parties. Each share needs a contribution of 130p ish so a one to one will mean too much discount, it will be more like a 4:5 or 5:6 with a 15 or 20% discount. The share allocation is what is shown in the articles and they will never be issued as they would be worth nothing. That is why the SP needs to rise as if IAG did this when the SP was 300p there would be a dramatic reduction in shares. IMO the discount needs to be at least 20% as I can’t see a large uptake otherwise. IAG made a complete **** up leaking this 2 months ago, if they kept their powder dry this share would have been 300-350p in this moment in time.

If the UK govt hold tight on airport testing the future looks tough for all airlines. The reality is setting in we are ready for a tough slog this winter, this week needs to see strong momentum for the SP to reduce the dilution, if the SP drops below 200p at the end of the week it makes for an interesting RI, further to that Portugal looks certain to go back to quarantine and maybe Greece. If there is a perfect storm I can see this share dropping to 150p on an the RI announcement. I will definitely jump back in but with all that dilution we won’t see 500p for years and years, I think a lot of PI’s don’t realise the extent and impact on the dilution. One think is for sure if you don’t intend to participate in the RI you should have sold last week. GLA.

The only short on this share is with Citadel at 0. 58% and in share trading terms it represents: **** all.

My friends, this is a share to park for 3-5 years and forget about like an old lover. Don’t overthink it and one day it will kick your arse in a beautiful way.

This will not drop less than 295p on Tuesday morning, if I was a MM with my bags full and orders I will be opening at 297 -299p, you school kids who sold your shares on Friday afternoon will be taught a valuable lesson, a share that offers future value will not be denied/ you watch.

Things are a getting bit tasty since I was last here, calm down it is only a share, it must be all the pressure on the impending AGM!

A big week for IAG coming up, I sold my minority stake 2 weeks ago at the same price today as I believe I can pick this up cheaper in the coming weeks. It needs to crank up to 230p ish this week to

The world of trading is a very Murky one but a strong set of accounts never lies. I just wished I topped up more, this could 300p before close.

What a fantastic opportunity to top up, a classic tree shake for those sneaky MM’s to get their hand on cheap shares, it is illegal but very hard to prove.

I tell you what, I am going to buy some shares in this company (Even though I have never heard of it before now) just so I can participate in this BB, it is more entertaining than going to the pub! It makes the IAG and BP look dead, that said for a company supposedly on its arse there was some tasty buys gone through today, worth a closer look me thinks. GLA

It has been a long time since I owned Imperial, but wow this SP looks appealing. I am an oiler and like oil baccy seems to be out of favour, this is still a cash generating company and I will be watching it with interest to jump back in.

You can’t believe it, IAG is on its arse whilst proposing an RI which represents 75% of its Macap and them unions are backing strikes and legal action. What ****ing Palmer are they on?

Medlingtin: What it comes down to is sentiment towards air travel on the announcement and the terms of the RI. Based on figures on the back of a fag packet each share has to provide a contribution of 140p if it was based on the current SP of 189, a discount of 25% would fulfill the RI on a 1:1. That discount may be a tad high but let’s assume the SP drops to 160p you win. If the discount is 15% and the SP drops below that you lose. These are not the conditions to **** about with an RI in the current environment. One thing is for sure if you are not up for a 100% participation, sell now, personally if you can afford to take the allocation, suck them up and sit on them for a couple of years.
