@Anapa: I understand your frustration, it is not nice to sit on a sinking share. You made a big mistake participating in the RI and it is only natural to mitigate your loss, but it takes courage to crystallise a loss. Think of one thing my friend, in 15 business days IAG will be posting a third quarter loss which will nearly equal this disastrous RI issue. Tick went tock and tock went tick, you have to be very brave to be holding this baby on the 29th.

@Wolfo: you make a good point there and when things go back to a semblance of normality the ways organisations communicate with each other has changed for ever. I was always anti-video meetings always believing you can never replicate f-f but I was wrong. A third of all IAG profit comes from business plus, I was actually told some years ago it was more 50% but IAG don’t like to shout about this as it marginalises ‘Economy Travellers”. If you then compound this with the Greta movement, it seems irresponsible to send executives all over the world when Green options exist, this is why big oil unfortunately has to change. What Covid has done has forced mankind to examine their lives and how it impacts others. The business revenue/profitability will never replicate the bygone years.

Wow, just watched News at Ten, it sure is doom and gloom on the Covid front. One factor that did surprise me was that the latest Govt furlough scheme that covers 2/3rds of employee salaries whose employers have been forced to close down in Covid hot spots will run to next May! It seems that even the Govt are not convinced by a quick Covid response. Worrying times.

I keep meaning to diversify but at these increases it would be a crime! I might think about it when it hits 200p and that may be sooner than we think.

One swallow does not make a summer I am afraid, those pesky MM’s running the market up so their chums can sell their spoils. All those RI shares hitting those accounts this morning will be getting sold, make no mistake, I know I would be taking the profit on mine today, thats for sure. Yes, 75p is still on the cards.

@Scarlet: There are no after hours buys, that was traded today but posted after hours, the SP has already been calculated on this trade.

@Steven: EasyJet released an RNS this morning regarding a trading statement for the year ending to the 30/09. They are predicting that they will be only running 23% of their schedule for the 1st quarter of next year and also the massive losses they incurred. That is why they are down.

@Mararab: And that is with a 25 billion dollar bail out. Poor IAG have to use shareholders funds, it is just not fair.

@Anapa: “IAG should be cash neutral by next month”. Be careful, you sound very foolish making outlandish statements like that. IAG are not even at 30% of normal capacity and load yields are way down. It looks like Italy will be on the quarantine list tomorrow, BA currently have over 20 daily flights from Heathrow to Italy and they have always been high-yield routes. There is no doubt IAG have been brave in putting a strong Winter schedule together but if they can’t get enough bums on seats it will be costly. The figures released on the 30th will be brutal. If there is no vaccine news in the next 23 days, I am afraid this share will definitely be sub 80p.

@Paddyboy: We did warn them about participating in the RI we had their interests at heart. Yes, they will learn about the manipulation of this share. What happened to those fervent rampers? Portland, Chris England and Minty? Do you think they were working for the bug bad three?

@Anap: you forgot to say that in July it then dropped to 155p? If this shares hits 180p in a couple of weeks I will eat my toes.

Do you honestly think that Chris Witty and his gang are going to allow testing at airports? London is threatening a lock down the UK considering circuit breaks and we are going to let people through Heathrow with rapid tests that are not proven. There is too much uncertainty. The markets certainly didn’t think much of it. In Gov’t speak, a task force is a euphemism for a 3 months suck it and see.

@Anditsgone: That’s because the share platforms didn’t credit the accounts until late PM, it is
my understanding most will be credited tomorrow morning. They didn’t go through today as the Investment boys needed time to sell theirs today. I called 75p and at this stage it will be nearer 75p than 150p at the end of the week that’s for sure. Don’t take it personal, business is business is business, I just want a lower entry level than you.

The only announcement been made this afternoon is that the UK Govt will set up a task force to look at airport testing, nothing concrete I am afraid,

The market has already built in the price of the RI which is a reduction of 26% from the opening price post RI to today’s closing. This still represents a significant discount from the TERP. I think the share had a good bounce off the airport testing and RR today which was unexpected and surprised me. I think you may find some PI’s selling part of their shares tomorrow as they may have overstretched to participate in the RI or see a good opportunity to take a 15% margin. Donald’s timing wasn’t good and AA plunged 4.5% on the announcement, hard one to call. I think it will see the 80’s tomorrow and if I see the 70’s I definitely will be in. The 45p gang are just messing.

@Treacle: I wouldn’t put too much importance on them share trades, firstly, they are not uncommon for IAG, secondly the software LSE used to decipher a buy and a sale is onerous to say the least and every buy is a sale and every s..... you get the jist. The SP balances itself through the day, if everybody starts buying IAG the price will go up and it will, I reckon there is a 4 week window for buying in, the 30th may be too late. To be fair it is cracking on for 35% less than the RI opening price which still looks good value but I still think I can get my hands on these for less than 80p but we will see. IAG will not go under and at these prices it will be a double bagger by next Easter. I am in the camp that there will be a vaccine before Christmas whenever it gets around to the general public is not that important. All this talk about airport testing is crap, that is already built in, who wants to **** about with Covid tests and still quarantine for 7 days then take another test? IMO GLA.

@Sunsurfer: The issue for us lesser mortals is that as the FCO advises against all but essential travel
to the UAE it has implications for travel insurance. The reason that your flight was full is due to BA reducing the number of daily flights to Dubai to two and have cancelled the Abu Dhabi flight so hence the Dubai route is picking up further slack. PS: I am not part of that crazy gang looking for 35 -50p, I will be jumping in at 75p if I am lucky. The world wants to travel, me included and when this share recoils I want to be in it, enjoy your holiday.

@Sunsurfer: I have to doubt your credibility. You are sitting around the pool in Dubai and you are not aware that you need to quarantine for 14 days when you arrive back in the UK? Ummmmmmm......

@Wasu: It is my feeling that the UK Govt don’t have the appetite for Antibody/Covid testing, I am not a virologist so I won’t even pretend to know what I am talking about, but I do know that they are not 100% effective and the process can be lengthy. These tests will not get the public flying. What will get the public flying is a world wide vaccine, it will come and as Paddy stated in his last post we thought it would have all been boxed off by September, now we are hearing next Spring, another 6 months away, another 6 months of cash burn! Aviation is set for a harsh winter and unfortunately this will be reflected in the SP in the coming weeks, the 3rd quarter results released on the 30th will
compound the pain if there is no vaccine news I am afraid.
