So there’s a known 250k tests per day manufacture capacity which can service the world wide market. At £10 even at 10% it’s big numbers!

I agree Olderandwiser, but it's bigger than a £1Bn market for this single test. 10-20% is £100-£200m simply on that test and is a company maker for sure. Given the POC device angle too which would overlay that I think the MC is undervalued but its an opinions, sales will support it

The VOX discussion was really interesting, they were estimating a cost per test of £5-£10 and a margin of 60%-80%. At 10k capacity per hour or 250k tests per day that would be a turnover of £8m-£16m per week! Now that would make our MC seem very small.

Hi Olderandwiser, unbelievably this is how molecular testing has always been done in the past by large automated equipment. Genedrive allows the test to be done at the point of taking the sample from the patient which makes sense for many disease - get the patient on the right treatment fast... I have no doubt that the pandemic will improve Genedrive's position in supplying these POC molecular tests and I have been pleased with their approach and non-nonsense RNSs.

It’s why the genedrive poc test at 30-40 minutes done on site significantly reduces time but at the expense of through put. Noir sets for courses and genedrive were wise to cover both ends of the testing spectrum with the same test delivered on different platforms.

The longest time is transport of the sample and the logistics of sample tracking. The sample prep is 30 mins and the PCR about 2 hours depending on equipment. Also samples are done in batches so this creates a bottle neck. 24 hour turnaround I’m sure will be the target.

With Cytiva and Danaher as potential sales and distribution partners the future is bright
