I think there is more upside to CSH. Good growth prospects through increasing production and renewed export licence. Also construction of the company's loading jetty is close to completion. I'm in for the long-term. Cheers!
CSH - looks like its potential is finally being recognised.
Great start to 2008 for CSH!
Wont be long before tin reaches over $1700 pt. What also bodes well for VDM is the surging demand for gemstones in India and China. Does anyone else reckon VDM is a good bet? Opinions appreciated.
Thanks artt!
GVM, now better known as Coal of Africa (CZA) is on the move up. Look out for the African based companies which some major African focused hedge funds have chosen to invest in, these will rocket in price not to mention their potential as takeover targets by major private and state owned Chinese commodity companies.
LSE can you please update this site to Coal of Africa (CZA), it's now been a while since GVM was renamed!
lezzils, I agree that the lack of detailed information and general negativity in today's RNS from GFM amounts to nothing short of an absolute shambles for such a well placed mining company. I'm beginning to think that it's about time the LSE instituted a share price monitoring exercise. The bears have firmly sunk their claws into this one!
I also felt that the RNS was poorly pieced together. Real shame that the company failed to include any positive news update in the RNS. I think GFM will not be appropriately valued by the market until the company makes a commitment to mine the gold.Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!
Thanks gamcoles. I thought I was a lone voice for a minute there! I wonder what the market's valuation of GFM will be once a decision has been made by the company to mine the gold. Silly price!
This is great news for investors who know the true value of Griffin Mining. Buy as many shares as you can! This company is debt FREE and sitting on what could be a massive gold deposit. Zinc prices will retrace upwards very fast in the next few weeks. Anyone would be forgiven thinking that Griffin Mining is making an overall loss rather than merely a reduced profit. Small investors beware the bears are out to bash the SP in the full knowledge that it will be back to over a pound early in the 2008.
Apart from the lack of port capacity in Australia which is hampering coal unloading and shipment, there is now a second headache for small and mid-tear coal miners, namely the lack of rail capacity. The only miners with long-term contacts with the likes of Pacific National and Queensland Rail are the big boys: BHP, Rio Tinto and Xsrata. There is virtually nil extra capacity for the smaller miners. An increasing demand and price for coal is all very well provided you can deliver the goods! One Australian mid-tear coal miner is already considering cutting production and laying off around 200 miners. The Ozzies failure to expand their port and industrial rail capacity before this long predicted Chinese commodities frenzy will cost the smaller coal and base metals miners dear.
A fitting change of name for a company that is set to become a major player in the coal industry of RSA.
I have been following GVM with interest for the last 2 years. Global Coal, formerly Asia Energy has been steadily increasing its interest in GVM since anouncing its agressive coal project acquisition policy 18 months ago. GVM has several exciting coal projects in RSA. Is it only a matter of time before Global Coal announces an intention to acquire GVM? Any opinions?
Themoneyman, I think that 15p-20p is a realistic target for GAR. Strong experienced management team with good industry contacts, good growth prospects with FTSE top ten companies among their clients and influential major shareholders. IMHO their debt is not significant enough to hold back the SP given that the company is continuing to win contracts and has a commitment to cash generation. I'm in for the longterm and will buy more shares on price falls. Good luck.
Thanks SmartPhreak. I was thinking along similar lines.
I thought the news was good. Are people panicing? Couldn't see anything untoward in the Chairman's statement.Am I missing something?
Many thanks for that info. I was beginning to get a bit bleary eyed looking at my computer screen from New Zealand, still the night is young!Best of luck.
Thank you to all those who are making it possible for me to buy up Garner shares by selling your holdings! Can't wait 'til Thursday for the interims.
I agree with your views stevedee. I don't think GAR needs any ramping the way it's heading at present. This is a true turn-around growth company. The shares are difficult to get hold of now and MM's are charging a premium. Having said that I think GAR will at least double its current price upon the release of the interim results. Probably less than 10 million shares in free float now.Good luck to all fans of Garner!
