Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Ramping aye? I don't recall me stating CFU as a 'buy' or 'strong buy', neither did I endorse CFU other than state the plain basic facts. With such a negative view on CFU, you could equally be accused of deramping the company. I don't think that CFU has come this far only to shoot itself in the foot over pricing of its maiden product. As far as I'm aware the final costings and and the anticipated payback period per Bluegen unit has yet to be announced. The big energy utilities in the UK don't provide any cheaper alternative to offset spiralling energy bills for the majority of households. Bluegen is likely to become a viable longterm option for those households that can afford it. KR.
It's convincingly broken that resistance level of 50p! Onwards and upwards to a quid. Never believe analysts' price predictions...it was only 2yrs ago that a well known analyst declared Tullow Oil a sell at 450p!
If CFU's technology is not up to scratch then ask yourself why have they and their major shareholders invested a huge sum over 17yrs into R&D? CFU have provided figures on Bluegen's generation efficiency cf. with standard power generators, including feed back to the grid. Bluegen is associated with almost zero energy loss in the form of heat compared with over 30% with traditional fossil fuel power generators. If the product is uneconomic then why build a production and distribution facility in Western Europe? If you think that CFU is such high risk then why rant on now of all times just as the company begins commercialisation of its technology? It's beginning to sound like like sour grapes.
Don't be influenced by the detractors and doubters. CFU will very soon secure a supply contract, and we all know that with one contract up their sleeve more will follow. A contract to supply the European or North American market will transform the company and the share price in a very short time frame.
Now over US$1014 per Oz. Surely gold shares are now a must have for every portfolio. NGL is likely to break 50p IMHO on release of the company's quarterly update in the next couple of weeks.
Scepticisim abounds! One thing investors can be sure about is that CFU is a true green share and one that will certainly interest the Ethical Funds soon enough. Use Ceres Power as a comparison to Ceramic Fuels. What's the difference between the two companies apart from the market cap and geography? The opening of the German manufacturing facility will mark an important milestone in the company's development. In time CFU will grow into a multinational as the world looks towards new technologies to create jobs and wealth that will help to pull us out of the financial quagmire. A new era beckons.
JackParlabane. If a company delists without coming out of suspension, then small shareholders like you and me lose out completely. It's all part of the gamble.
TONYMCD.
Good luck to all of you who have kept faith with NGL. This is truely a milestone in NGL's steady revaluation. I'm sure that the SP has much further to go in the long-term. Just hang on!
Hi JackParlabane, It has all gone very quiet, no information for weeks that I have found. Timan will either disappear completely or re-list(which may be months further away). I think that the TMAN directors have been dealt a cruel hand. So much unrealised potential in Timan. If the company delists we will probably never get to hear about subsequent field development. I still think that the company will one day confirm at least a billion barrels from its existing resource base. Suspension is no bad thing per se. We've just gotta wait! KR.
Somewhat of a mixed reaction to Garner's final results across other chat rooms. I share the view that the results are pretty good considering the downright financial mess that many plc's are in at present. There are some very over inflated popular shares on the AIM that are multiples higher than Garner's SP and nowhere near as financially sound. Healthy turnover of 3.3m sterling, with profit of 0.36m(down 0.4m). Moved from a net liability position to net assets of 1m sterling and cash of 0.64m in the bank, with debt down from 1.2m to 0.3m. What is there to grumble about? One to hold and possibly add to over time IMHO. I'm still a fan!
Commodity stocks are set to extend their losses today on the news of falling demand for base metals and oil. Where can you make a safe investment? Looks like the Germans know....GOLD!
I agree with you trucky. We have a long couple of years before the global economy begins to recover IMHO. Reality will set back in soon enough and the gold price will start its rise to well over US$1000 per Oz, and with it the SPs of all the mid-tear gold producers like NGL. What's happening at present to the SP, will I'm sure just represent a relatively small price correction for NGL in the long term. I'm not letting go of my NGL shares! GL mate.
I agree trucky. I think 40p is a very conservative estimate, but will represent a significant milestone in the share price. I don't think it will look back once over 40p. I also reckon that NGL will reach 70-100p in the medium term.
I share the same view that NGL hasn't got any major downside, and plenty of significant upside. It will take time for the SP to reach 40p+, I'd say another 2-3 weeks. The share price hasn't dropped back dramatically, unlike CRND. I believe NGL is a hold if you bought at 20-25p. Just wait for the effects on interest rates worldwide in the months to come as China and Russia begin to shun the US dollar in favour of investing in stable funds such as IMF bonds. This may set the trend for a hyperinflationary cycle that will push the gold price to new heights.
Looks like you nipped in to buy the shares at just the right time yesterday!
Looks like the beginning of the next stable share price increase to 9p-9.5p, and from then on a steady rise until Sept, then we'll see the SP rocket IMHO.
Interesting to see that trading in NGL finished yesterday with a couple of substantial after hours buys. This will probably pick up in price today. Is anyone planning on attending the Growth Investors Show on June 10th?
Today's low looked like 32p. Slowly traded all day.Daisan, apologies, you're right, quarterly update will be beginning of August. I got mixed up with the Growth Investors Show in London on June 10th. It will be interesting to see what happens to NGL in light of CRND's little bounce-back today.Good luck trucky.
I optimistically thought another quarter would come off the price, but doesn't look likely at the moment.
