Hi Chan. I would also be snapping up a few more shares in CZA if I had the cash to spare right now. Even without a takeover looming we should see CZA rise up to GBP 3.00 by year-end as the coal starts to be mined. Who knows, we might be looking at a GBP 5.00 share price in 6 months from now.
So CZA really is the "talk of the town" as far as coal in RSA is concerned. Mittal better snap up this coal giant before the SP hits GBP 3.00!
So is CZA is a buy-out target at a price of at least GBP 2.50p? If so CZA is very likely to be the subject of a counter bid. The next few days should be very interesting! Best of luck Chan.
Sale of Holfontein coal project to Lachan Star for $25m ASD announced today. This is timely considering ML's purchase of 33m shares in CZA announced yesterday. Is there a conspiracy on part the London South East admin' to not update GVM's site to CZA ? What do you reckon Chan?
Thanks for that RNS. Third quarter update released today paints a very rosey future for CoAL. I'm hoping for a market cap of GBP1.2 bn by 2010 if coal production is 5-10 m tonnes per annum.
Chan, CZA is up 6p today 141p at present. Coal is set to double in price with demand predicted to rise up to 2012 and beyond. If CZA starts producing coal on schedule I think we're looking at £4.00 a share in 12-18 months time. Maybe a state backed Chinese miner will buy them out before the true value of this company is ever realised.
Steady rise in price over the last 4-5 days of trading. Are we in for some good news on the production license front? Does anyone know the latest on Forum?
Chan, CZA as you know was recently tipped at 146p, or there abouts. Do you think this is a conservative target price? I have higher hopes than that for CZA in the long term. I reckon we will see 180p in a few months time. Do you think that's too ambitious for this share?
Thank you Chan. I find it so bizarre that this website contains old suspended relics, re- and re-re-named companies of old and yet CZA tipped as a strong buy weeks ago dosen't feature. Odd?! All the best to you.
Please update this site. It's now been a while since GVM changed its name to Coal of Africa (CZA) and since then it has gone through the roof. I hope my post on 2/10/07 alerted wouldbe buyers to GVM at 46p. Best of luck.
I think that Garner should have injected more optimism into its year-end results. Certainly doesn't look like any of Garner's employees are among the 10,000 due to lose their jobs in the City over the next few months. Increased wage costs must have been a significant factor in reducing pre-tax profit ( marginally) compared to last year. The increased number of research consultants will pay dividens in the medium term. I'm looking forward to hearing more details concerning the US link-up and the digital media service in the next few weeks. A hold in MHO.
The price of tin continues to go from strength to strength. Must bode well for VDM's revenue stream.
Garner's year-end results are due soon. A statement pending release of the results should be made by the company in the next few days informing shareholders of the date of release of the full year results. If they meet market expectations we should see a rise in the share price to well within the teens.
CZA is on the way to becoming a £3.50 share IMHO. Continuing power shortage concerns in RSA, near future hikes in industrial and domestic energy demand in RSA, China and Japan's demand for massive supplemental coal imports and continuing waterlogging of a significant number of Queensland mid-tear coal producers should all continue to drive CZA upwards.
Full year results are due soon. Share price reached near 12p at the company's interims. If GAR's interim trading statement forecast was accurate the SP should easily exceed 12p on news of the full year results . IMHO 15-20p is within reach this time round. Good luck to all fans of GAR!
Coal of Africa is on the rise again. Set to become a major supplier of coal to the domestic market of RSA after government approval of project stake purchase agreement. Why is it not on LSE!!!!!!! Anyone else got their eye on this company?
Finally some encouraging news from TMAN! The petition to wind up Timan has been discredited. All we need now is Gazprom to put up the cash...or may be Petrochina?
IMHO TMAN is the most potentially valuable Caspian Basin based oil production and exploration company. It has potential reserves of 9 billion barrels. The only thing holding back the SP is concern over whether TMAN will find a JV partner to fund a $500 million USD exploration programme including a 2500 well development. RXP, MXP, FRR pale into insignificance compared to TMAN's assets. Who knows, maybe Gasprom will come to the table in time and offer the funding. Doesn't look like Goldman Sacks or Credit Suisse have dumped their shares yet. Surely worth investing in at this price? Anyone else still interested in TMAN?
Thanks TheDeadCat, All the best to you! I got in at an average of 4.65. I didn't expect the SP to stay any higher than 5.38 today. Mind you I'm not day trading on this one. Still reckon the Caspian Basin is the place to be for oil majors and minors alike. MXP, FRR, TMAN should all do well! Best of luck.
Up $200 per tonne at present. VDM very undervalued IMHO. Any views on this company?
