The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
This news could be the 'company maker' news shareholders have been waiting for. No doubt it is just a matter of time before news of a commercial US contract emerges
CFU has risen for the last few days of trade on the ASX. Will CFU be up there with other great Australian companies such as Cochlear or CSL in 10 years?
The latest production costs for NGL were forecast by the company at their last half year report, although production was lower than expected. The future is still looking bright for NGL with the third mine development well under way which will significantly reduce future production costs.
Sorry, I meant PZ Cussons(PZC)
If this were a 4:1 consolidation, i.e. 4 old shares= 1 new share, this would be 4x original SP. Soco has done a share split. Companies with lofty share prices often consider this to increase their market cap and to realize more growth over the long-term. Recent examples include PZ Cousins and Severfield.
Last chance to buy in before AFNR is acquired by AXMIN. Last time I looked AFNR shareholders were set to make a small profit minus the exchange rate.
The recent price fall may be related to Action Aid International's recent negative report on jatropha. If the report is to be believed thousands of farmers have been pushed into poverty directly and indirectly by jatropha.
Some large forest fires have been blazing on the South Island not far from Dunedin recently, I hope its not Cambium's pine stands that have gone up in smoke!
To all you guys who held on. I was in and out at the wrong time, knew though that something massive would happen to the SP one day, I just thought I had enough time to get back in....Pretty sickening feeling! oh well. All the best to you.
Hi TONYMCD. IMHO it looks like Goldman and the pension funds have just about finished talking up the financial markets. What with quantitative easing now at an end and the fact that UK government bonds are not selling well, it seems only a matter of time before inflation starts to kick in. Gold price will IMHO start to increase after a brief plateau and the Australian$ is set to strengthen against the US$. All bodes well for Norseman. Best of luck.
TONYMCD, makes very interesting reading. Significant growth potential through both the Norseman Gold Project and through exploration of 'close by' (for Australia anyhow!) tenements. I didn't realise just how good the prospectivity is for future gold and iron ore production until I read the the update.
US $ climbs on improvement in jobless figures. Gold down 6% today. IMHO, hold tight; gold will be up again next week. What say you TONYMCD?
I agree, but I wouldn't be tempted to take profit before NGL reaches a quid, even then I'd be tentative. Shareholders who have been selling at under 70p will be kicking themselves once interest rates go spiralling upwards! Gold will be the only safe haven for 2010 and Norseman has got great growth plans scheduled. Who could ask more than a self-financing, debt free, unhedged gold producer with steadily increasing production in a stable country (a GREAT country at that!). Best of luck.
I see a few individual sells consisting of substantial amounts of shares over the last few days of trade. Gold now at US$ 1,201.63 per Oz. US Dollar set to weaken further. NGL is undervalued at these prices IMHO.
I agree. Good outlook for Angel. Looking beyond the third mine, Norseman Iron Ore, although in its infancy should in time add further value. Then there's the prospect of a Fourth mine...And as you mention there may be the possibility of a dividend payment, end of 2010?
No stopping Norseman now. I wonder what the third mine will add to the SP? Another 30p?
Dear Admin- I'm sure that this company's name is HAMELDON RESOURCES, not HAMBLEDON. KR.
I wonder? I reckon Allied's SP will reach new highs once trading begins on the TXR. There will be no stopping this company once gold production increases to 200,000-300,000 Oz/yr between 2011-13. Even better than CEY? Smaller market cap and 100% ownership(CEY= 50%)of its gold inventory(overall similar total resource). This will appeal to the North American market!
It's beginning to look like gold will hit US$2000-2500. The Indian government has given gold a huge vote of confidence with their massive gold purchase last week. Norseman is now on solid grounding with advanced plans to open a third mine and possibly a fourth mine. A good buy IMHO.
Chloe19, what other price movements can you predict? I think NGL is a long term share. Gold slightly down today. It's a mad, mad world out there...can't believe all the crap about the recession being nearly or just over. Banks making huge profits...what a laugh! Wait for the wipe out of the bond markets and the end of this market bear rally. Once the investment groups, banks and dare I say it, governments, have made a profit out of pushing up the world's equity markets they will pull out like there's no tomorrow. I still reckon the FTSE will fall to 2500 by next February. Good luck gold bugs!
