Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
RNS indicates huge grwoth and growing cash pile with more to come this year. Sp should rise around 10^% imv.
3 others announced delisting on Thursday; Sdry,Mole and snd. In those 3 cases the major shareholders are thr founders who believe , imv , they can regain control and make more money for themselves as a private company. Ring any bells here folks?
If the sp falls to say 12p on Tuesday, the mcap at £12m might look attractive to the likes of Mike Ashley who has a stated aim of taking his group up market and he could operate without the expensive loans that are hobbling the company just now.
As an aside, anyone remember the great announcements JD made when he sacked the previous ceo, about the great reset of the brand . Laughable - the previous team must be feeling much better just now given he has really messed up.
Yesterday was the worst day I can recall for shenanigans; 3 companies with large shareholder founders announced delisting, this one plus Sondrel and Molecular Industries. Memo to self stay away from any company where one person has too much power as they will shaft investors if they have a chance to do so whilst enriching themselves.
You will still own the shares , I have some in a delisted company but I get no communication from the bod. I think Levine will be better than that however and you will get accounts/meeting notifications.
On a broader point that is 3 companies today effectively going private , Molecular industries, Sondrel and sdry and in all cases the lack of appetite from the city for supporting british companies should be worrying the government. Is the UK really that uninvestible? Where are we heading?
He is taking it private because he can buy the whole company for much less that way, probably 10p per share instead of 35p. Disgraceful and once I sell up I hope he does so and subsequently goes bust devious sod.
FF, I think you are brave with a short on dlg - their turn around plan plus rising premiums should pull the sp up - even with no bid. Overlay that with a general UK plc recovery and it could get painful there - but good luck and thanks for sharing. Back to JD , anyone else think we might now get back to 160p soon?
I get the sense , but have no evidence that things will be getting soon wrt Argentina - therefore lots of upside as that bad news is priced in. Meanwhile ceo has lost more than us, I am only down 30k ffs!
In a climate that hates Oil and Gas !
However the determination of the UK government to kill this golden tax goose has not won through and the company fights on. One day the truth that climate change is mostly about factors other than carbon will become mainstream and i live in hope we still have a uk industry.
I think the appointment of a coo is the sign sms is preparing to leave and handover the reins. Whatever way you look at it , with a 12 month view the sp here should climb significantly, barring ww3 of course!
Sek, the evidence that the earth's core is causing global warming to some degree is being ignored. The ocean temperature s have risen more at depth than nearer the surface plus the antartic ice sheet has reduced near the fault plate but thickened on the other side is significant. Also the degree of volcanic activity and earth quakes in recent times adds to that view, but it is career limiting for scientists to talk about those things. Eventually the truth will out and while I am on about it , why does nobody talk about watervapour - far more powerful than co2 as a greenhouse gas and produced in larger quantities when fossil fuels are burned? Akward perhaps?
