We achieved a rise in living standards and a decent economy with cheap energy and we built welfare and wider government spending on that economy. We have chosen to replace cheap energy with expensive energy and therefore must expect to cut back - that will inevitably happen either voluntarily or through the actions of the imf or band markets!

I think having a major US bank as broker is a positive when it comes to attracting US investors - maybe long term we are to be listed in the USA? Sp would immediately rise 20% imv if that happened.

Flybe was slightly different to that you described , what happened was the 'bidders' formed a consortium and cut their indicative price by 90% overnight because the company was then over a barrell. I lost £40k on that dirty deal - good luck to all shareholders here - you need it in this corrupt world!

So all uk stocks that are rate sensitive should rise today, housebuilders etc. JD already on the move. One share that has fallen a smidgen is dnlm and that is a big surprise given it is paying out over 50p in divis for half year. No sense to the market at times as we all know!

I also have australian listed shares but not sure if they are in my isa or not. The issue you likely face is that the sp will jump once there is clarity .
