Will that be the case .I'm baffled by this corticosteroid debacle . I feel pretty sure being asthmatic my self that a large number of patients on the actic2 p2 would have previous breathing diseases ( unless they were excluded from trials) These people will be using steroid based inhalers yet it doesn't appear to have distorted the trial hence progression to p3 ( if it ever happens)
The same will apply to any future COPD trial as probably 99% of patients will be on corticosteroid therapy so that trial will also be pointless..
This real issue is to be able to seperate SNG data from SNG /SOC data. It may well prove that SOC therapy damaged SNGs stand alone statistics on mortality rates and 001 could have replicated P2 if taken alone .

Could they be attempting to remove Marsden and the Board ?
Sincerely hope so ! Amateur hour has well and truly passed ..New blood new ideas and new strategy is required .

If it was well documented then any sane responsible company would have cancelled this trial or increased the patient participation back to 910 but again I reiterate ,Why wasn't this all evident (A) pre dosing protocol review and at the very least (B) when futility review must surely have picked up on the corticosteroid issue .
It all seems very negligent from the company but it really can't be that simple can it ?

Wouldnt it have been nailed on that synairgen would in vitro test 001 with all the soc and variants to further enhance data and to determine if there could be interaction between other drugs ?.How did this problem evade the futility stage .It can't have only affected the remaining 323 of the trial or 162 who actually received 001.
Just doesn't add up.
