No dunderhead I am quite sure it was in their "risk list". Plan B was the Zubair Corporation farm out. I'm not all that sure what else you are asking though? If your question is: "does the BOD have an excellent relationship with the Tanzanian government" I would suggest the answer lies in the time taken to approve a remediation programme for Kiliwani. Revenue from this would have very likely created a buffer and forced the value of the farm out up as we wouldn't have been desperate for cash to pay those exorbitant salary costs. However is a done deal now subject to ratification at the EGM although I can't help but wonder if a more astute/independent bod could have struck a better deal perhaps assigning a share to TPDC itself gratis with a more organic ffd plan starting last year when we submitted the development plan. I'm sure that would have greased the wheels of government. All conjecture now and somewhat pointless and the only option on the table is the Zubair Corporation farm out or bust. Mtwara license next week please!!!!

Being prevented from any remediation of Kiliwani strangled our cashflow. Irrespective of the bod shortcomings, and I'm no fan of the bod as you know, our cashflow position left us in a difficult position arguably forcing the farm out deal so low that is borderline robbery. I don't believe it's all down to management. Still water under the bridge, we are where we are. Mtwara license asap please, we've certainly done or penance for finding nationally significant gas.

It's just their collusion with shady middle Eastern corporations to lock PIs out of a meaningful and timely ROI that's a concern ;)

Interesting day, I hope it has some substance behind it. If this is the mtwara license news then I hope it's closely followed by a spud date for CH1 and reperf date for Kiliwani. Spread the news out so the sp has time to consolidate before each leg up.

The 1m share seller is back. I seem to recall something about Beaufort Securities after they went bust having some influence on the shareprices of companies they represented - or did I imagine that??

Can't see our friends at Resilience Mining offloading shares at prices well under their strike price so unless it's forward selling or some sort of manipulation then whoever is selling must desperately need the cash. I can't really see anything other than good things on the horizon for SML.

I'm afraid I am certainly guilty of directing my frustration towards our CEO. Hopefully we'll have something much more positive to talk about in the coming weeks.

Not sure why you need to get personal Drewky. I'm not the CEO of a public listed company being paid £7500/week. One that you and I have significant investments in. Bhattacherjee is. He is supposed to be selling the company to new investors and let's be honest - he is terrible at interviews. IMO he often comes across as evasive, disingenuous and vacuous - not the qualities you want to demonstrate to new investors.

I would just like to remind you all that Bhattacherjee is anything but a smooth orator - in fact I would go as far to say he is borderline incomprehensible in some of his interviews with a veritable tidal wave of ahs and ums not to mention mobile phones going off in the middle of interviews: WTF!?

So let's not get too ahead of ourselves imagining great things from any of his presentations.

I hope he's using some of his £7500/week to get some communication coaching and that he remembers to turn his phone off :)

Eh - not sure I follow fjones - we're currently waiting for approval of the extension to the Mtwara licence. Without that there won't be a circular because the EGM will only be called if the farm-out can be concluded and the farm-out can only be concluded if we have a license. The end of November date is not set in stone - my personal view is that it's more of a loose target (like many of Aminex targets) and as such I wouldn't be surprised to see this slip.

However when it is announced I would expect and RNS, email and a tweet.

Contracts can only be signed after we've had a vote at the EGM and we'll need a minimum of 2 weeks notice to attend the EGM.

Well as we wait Drewky and the weeks tick by I can't help wondering what exactly Bhattacherjee is doing for the £7,500 per week we're paying him.

Only 17 trading days though Drewky as John pointed out: "17 trading days left in November. 2 weeks notice required for EGM. Cutting it very fine." And, of course, absolute radio silence from our extremely well paid BOD on all fronts.

It's that the same BOD who set the November deadline themselves Drewky?

Another day another disappointment :(
