Translation= now the government will pay compensation to a foreign company for not allowing ARSO to conduct a harmful procedure in Prekmurje? It is simply an irrational decision by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which I cannot understand other than a definitive tribute to foreign capital.
The fact is AST was denied fair access to the gas in the ground, as the gas in the ground has a value (circa £300M) the financial modelling will have shown how much money AST potentially missed out on if it were to be given fair access as the previous operator had. AIMHO
It would be nice and informative to know actually how many enquiries have been converted to contracts since the last announced in December 2019 irrespective if the BOD thinks material or not.
It makes me smile that people can think that if AST agreed to sell the project and walk away they would get 15m, when they have invested 50m- lost revenue for at least 5 years and have a gas field worth 350m+
Beggars belief!
Week starting the 15th March Day traders will swamp this driving the price at least 50% higher than now, then the decision will dictate the rest. It is very encouraging that even though there has been some links posted to news they all stipulated the meetings are private with nothing being leaked.
The settlement will depend on several fronts ie:
1, To leave Slovenia Project (Max Pay out ).75m
2,To stay in Slovenia with 5 year extension but submit an EIA (MID Pay out).50m
3, Stay in Slovenia with permits not required and extension of 5 years (Min Pay out).20-35m
Slovenia do not want Arbitration but are also not going to just throw money at AST, Amicable is the operative word. AIMHO
There was an interesting comment on JW's linked-in post regarding Dredging, so may not be deep enough for some vessels and maybe the reason for Barges being the first jobs at Appledore?
The time it is taking DAERA to make a decision or form an opinion must be sending alarm bells for any potential foreign investor considering NI to start a business, Not a very good impression for the Foreign Business community. AIMHO
I think the freeports for Scotland/Wales & NI are up to them?
If the free port status is given to Belfast and it gives tax advantages to INFA customers it could be epic.
Some things have been leaked regarding the budget but rest assured there are more Rabbits in the hat. AIMHO
Stokey12- There is no smoke without fire!
We are currently sunken with Liabilities according to the market, as soon as the contracts start those liabilities become assets!
and in the next couple of weeks the contracts will start to unfold AIMHO.
The streets are paved with Gold and it is all starting to happen, always knew it would and March is going to be the defining month AIMHO.
I think if Belfast is announced as a free port it will greatly increase the traffic which has to be good for INFA also the businesses that will start popping up to take advantage of the tax savings.
Cant see where else in NI the free port could be?
AIMHO
Well something is stirring, have they got a sniff of something?
