Some of the LTH's on here will remember the iterations the unit went through and the time it took to get Protos successfully to proof of concept and this is without demonstrating that this will work at full scale - this will be no different for our competitors. Its not because PHE are a bit crappy that it took a long time - this is how leading edge engineering is developed. Only once the first unit is up and running on the Peel site will we now where we are at - I suspect this is why PHE will be providing a lot of support to the first unit to ensure they can iron out the wrinkles that are bound to occur once we hit processing at scale.
I do think PHE's communications have been very poor - from (not) providing clarity about who is paying for what in the partnership with Peel through to the weasely words we should expect from Yeo. It does make me think they are sorting issues out in the background but without comms, we the shareholders and the market are left to assume the worst. We must also remember that the responsibility of the site is with Peel, not PHE so to a certain extent, we are on their schedule. I hope that PHE are looking at whether it is an option to progress the first practical application of Protos with another partner if Peel have other priorities.
I am still grinding my teeth at PHE's inability to be more professional if thats the right word ? But I do think we are in front and its our need to be rich Rodders that is setting expectations around timescales rather than the realities of large scale engineering projects, especially when more than one organisation is involved.
I hope they are recruiting a sh*t hot commercially sharp team from sales to project managers to a decent communications manager as well as the engineering minds that will be needed to backfill should anyone who is key leaves. This is not the time to be pausing progress because we are having to recruit in a market where competition for talen is red hot.
My ask of PHE is to get professional, get commercial and start communicating.
I bought in at 1p and got my capital out at c6p so am now on a free ride on 1m shares. I would still buy now if I had any funds - if it drops further, I will be liquidating another investment to buy further here. Dyor etc etc.
Finally, disappointing to see @DrA copping some flack here - this board has been great up to now, lets not go the way of other boards on here.
What would we need the funds for ?
I would hope now there are a couple of units on their way out that we would not be providing all of the working capital to build them before getting paid.
TLDR - funding should be minimised if PHE pick up their commercial game.
Good news this morning !
The RNS states that co-location is the objective for the (first) Scottish site.
All this good stuff is tempered by my slight softening towards TY who until now have thought of as a greasy weasel of the highest order.
Perhaps thats what we actually needed....?
I understand the AIM runs on emotion but this does seem a bit of an over reaction - the RNS doesn't say 'oopsy, no copper / gold after all, my bad'. And I've been in loss with this share since I bought it four years ago (and have just gone back into loss again after a mere couple of days basking in a 'profit'.).
