PHE and it protectionism, reluctance to work with the private sector have a lot to answer for. I hope they are on Boris’s and more encouragingly Cummings’s hit list when all this is over. The NHS management are equally to blame, not the government. All this Thursday clapping is fine for the front line,, but tge NHS is turning into a cult which once again will be seen to be sacred, letting NHS management and PHE off the hook

Islandgirl. Yes it is not an easy one to call. I have 6 figure holdings in both but am moving more in this direction. Why? NVCT has risen from 6 pence whereas AVCT has risen less, has the cancer treatment and I am steered by the research information by Miles and the confidence shown by their partners. Yes. You are quite right. There will be plenty of business elsewhere. Sadly for the people in the UK, we will have to wait for PHE digit extraction to take place. Much as I think Hanco*k is of the chocolate kettle variety, I feel he has been let down badly by overpaid jobsworths in PPE sourcing, testing provision and of course PHE management. I almost think they have an anti government agenda as we saw with brexit. GLA here. I too have sold a few NCYT to increase my holding here

Great post. But my worry is that, as we have seen, is the intransigence, inefficiency and protectionism of PHE who have shown themselves to be the “clots in the bloodstream” of progress in dealing with this pandemic. What hoops have they lined up for Avacta to jump through?

This morning had long detailed precise interview with Prof Sarah Gilbert on work to produce vaccines at Oxford uni. Qs on timescale, reinfection, antibodies etc. Well worth a watch on iplayer

That the government have had enough of PHE dragging their protectionist feet and Proff Niel Fergusons gloom and doom? And that they want to drive a solution and speed of delivery via tge private sector? When Avacta come up with the goods in a WEEK OR SO they will just want to get it out there and get people back to work?

Maybe thry will gobble some up in an hour or so
