The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
How I'd do the tax losses/ how it might play out.
Let's assume Newmont ,who have the license directly north of Blue Moon/Black cat (can't remember which from memory) are interested in taking over the tax loss
Transfer over Creswick, Tambo and Baillieston from MGA to Lux (or set up another company).
BM/BC remains the only license ramaining under the MGA banner.
Newmont then do a deal to purchase MGA so we lose BM/BC but retain the remainder of our Victoria licenses.
Newmont get the BC/BM license which extends their existing ground to the south and also access the tax losses.
We get a nice £xm cash injection which massively accelerates our ability to drill in Victoria and Queensland and keeps hold of the core Baillieston and all of Creswick licenses.
This also gives us good communication with Newmont when it comes to potential deals/partnerships further down the line.
Just one scenario
"they are down around 400 %"
Lol....do I even need to comment.
If you feel that way Nicepair, then surely you are an idiot to invest in what you believe to be a inevitable loss making market segment?
GGPs mcap is still c£370m so still very valuable. It did peek at c£1bn , but you can easily argue that the market and investors were over enthusiastic at those levels.
Prior to their discovery (from memory) the mcap was down around the £10-30m level and the share price was easily sub 1p.
So the potential rise/fall of a company does depend on which point in history you take your baseline from (and what narrative you want to put forward).
Look back further than 2020 and GGP has 10+ bagged from those levels.
With ECR I prefer to look forwards and not backwards beyond the current management starting as the company has majorly changed direction and confidence is growing
Any investors in the last six months are likely in profit as the SP has only occasionally popped it's head up above the current SP.
Any investing prior to that are CURRENTLY sitting on a loss.....but things may change ;-)
Doc/Mike will be giving his thought on Cuboid Hill and other subjects in an interview being released tomorrow.
I'll have another 500k @0.253....thank you very much
The wider AIM market is struggling post covid , but thee are still success stories and ECR is shaping up nicely to be one of those.
I'll continue to top up as funds allow while the SP stays in the mid 0.2's.
There will be a trigger where market will latch on to what is happening in ECR sooner or later and the paltry £3.5m mcap will be no more.
Mental,
Would be nice to finally breach 0.3 and stay there....I think the encouraging results at Davey Road might get us there.
0.3 (c£4.8m mcap) does look cheap with Creswick starting to look like developing further (I'm not getting carried away yet), Cuboid Hill drilling, Lolworth results shaping up nicely so far for both gold and REEs (where are the REE sampling results?) and the potential cash injection from crystallising the tax losses.
A number of fronts for ECR to push forward ....let's see what the market thinks over the coming days
“…we’ve got some tax losses that could be quite valuable in the right hands and to others in our space…”
Sounds like some of Nick's 'discussions' in Oz may have been with other parties looking to utilise the tax loss.....would be a significant cash injection to ECR if we can find a way to transfer them.
RNS OUT BUT NOT SHOWING!
41.03 g/t is an excellent result and with gold across most holes this is an excellent step forward.
Seems like Creswick is well and truly back in play, and they have 10+ target sites already identified for further drilling at Creswick.
And drill on site at Cuboid Hill so should get confirmation that drilling has started there shortly.
Another fail by LSE who have not posted the RNS on this site ......not the first time they have failed to do this for ECR.
Mike alluded to the outstanding REE sample results being available possibly by the new year (about two weeks prior).
They are yet to materialise?
Mental, We are very unlikely to get 10m+ widths as it's a narrow vein system.
We can just hope for high grades over the narrower widths (and at shallower depths that need less grade to make them viable).
The narrow veins are not an obstacle as the Ballarat mine at the south end of the DMS, which is a narrow vein mining operation, has been operating profitably for years
I see the cross ramping messages (from a few posters) have been removed from the HE1 board.
Better try another cross ramp to Enet a bit later
This is being ramped on the HE1 board.
Sheep get slaughtered!
DNP.....About the 50th time that's been posted on the board....50th time lucky ....lol
Just when the board had returned to a sensible place for discussion TI godes another poster into name calling and adolescent schoolboy behaviour.
TI...into the green bin with you ...if you want a childish fight over the Internet just go on to X.
Personally fed up with you pointless inuendo "question" posts that you never seem to make an actual point on and your "where are the derampers" calls if no-one is arguing with you.
A sad attention seeker with whome this board would be better without.
And don't bother replying as you are filtered
Did anyone spot the 150m share trade at 11:06 today?
Traded at 1.79 (selling off today's placement shares for a quick 20% profit?)
Blackhopper, in yesterday's interview I believe Mike said that the bags are 2kg and then split in half with 1kg being sampled and 1kg retained by the company.
Mental , The 1m grades are to be expected...it' is a narrow grade system.
We'll see what the whole of bag confirms before drawing any conclusion.
As you say, worst case is that they just get a better unde.rstanding of the geology, although the early indications are actually quite good given the very shallow depths
I saw someone on X asking for wide intercepts....they obviously have little/no knowledge of Creswick;-)
I mean some of the posts that you are highlighting...if the find is excellent (which I believe it is) then posters should not have to post extravagant claims...they do more harm than good.
Of course there are derampers who have also been a little 'liberal' with their exagetrations
Liamvtr.....That's just embarrassing
