George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
If BHP bid for NCM then would it not increase their holding in Solgold to a level that would be unhealthy for the the share price of Solgold. Is there anything in stock exchange rules to counter this eg requirement for BHP to reduce holding or bid for Solgold.
The price had dropped by over 7% this morning when I last looked. PFS was going to be the big event that was going to put a rocket under the price. It could be that by mistake they put a diamond drill instead of a rocket (painful lol). An understandable mistake when you are in exploration business
Surely all the experienced posters here, the journals, brokers etc. can’t be wrong? OR are we really doomed?
Hope you are right about the bid ColonelDrake. The way share price has reacted to day suggests to my humble mind that the market does not share your views about a bid. But then market moves in mysterious ways so you could be right. For the time being though the only beneficiary of my shares is the broker taking a % in fees every month as I continue to wait for it (the boom). We have waited for all sorts of things and now PFS which so far has failed to ignite the price. I am therefore glad that you don’t think we will have to wait for DFS
I seem to recall NM saying that selling individual assets is a problem for Solgold.. Significant portion of the proceeds would get lost in paying capital gain tax . Price to compensate for that would be far too high for anyone. Have I remembered correctly. If so how will this fit with sale of Alpala only.
oh dear Mathersfinger does this mean no bid for months now from BHP . This could be a chance for someone else to get in whilst BHP are out of action. BHP may have to sell Solgold shares to pay for the damages. it is all worrying for the end game
don't flatter yourself seanhunter. there is only ONE and ONE reason why this has finally started to move. it is that I got worried and sold some at 28 pence. Lol. no worries though i still have bulk of my holding .
copperpot I assume that there are other majors interested in this big opportunity. So if JV was announced one of them could counter act by a bid for the company or a better JV deal. Is that scenario possible or am I kidding myself ?
".... more regular exploration updates are required, so PIs can see where money raised is going."
LunchMoney, i am not sure if the company cares about PIs. Yes they needed PIs in the early days but now they have enough large shareholders who really matter. as far as I am concerned I accept that I have to rely on crumbs from the masters table and I don't know when and what the quality of crumbs will be
bought some yesterday to average down from over£5 I paid last time.. normally when I buy the price goes down. Cant believe my eyes that the very next day it has gone up over 6%. Long may it last. Investor meeting tomorrow, could that be the reason?
"ve had an email to say theres a corporate action however need to check later to see what share this is for... hoping not sar."
jonsshare, it could be relating to Napster. it is consolidating and delisting from AIM.
