"NM was an impediment to the obvious and sensible strategy, and his removal (sorry, 'retirement') has removed the blockage."
Has it really removed the blockage. NM continues till March and thereafter as NED so still a back seat driver.
May be no news is good news. - One lives in hope
With all the positive things we know about this share I was hoping that Solgold would feature in at least one, if not more, New Year tips. Disappointed that it has not appeared in any or have I missed it?
ColonelDrake, i am struggling to see the merit of a new Sugar Daddy (SD). If SD comes via share placing then it adds 4th. entity and further splits the power base - The company would never be bought and has to go to production. If SD comes in Franco way then I can see it will annoy BHP etc no end. but then how does that help us. When they were annoyed with Franco deal they did not rush to bid . Why would they do so this time . I am very confused as to what is around the corner and what the likely outcome will be so further thoughts from you and others would be most welcome.
Colonel Drake, Could BHP proceed as follows if NM issued shares at 45/55p. in the hope of rejection
They would buy enough shares which would take them to the level that forces them to make an offer at 45/55p. Bid may be unsuccessful but BHP get a large holding. If NC also bought more ,between them then they could say goodbye to NM at an EGM. OR better for us all it could start a bidding war
"Do you want 55p a share or £1.50 a share plus?"
My personal agenda is T/O whilst I am still around to enjoy. Quick outcome ,be it at the lower end of the range, is what would suit me best.
After debating for days have finally topped up at 33.90. Fingers crossed for Thursday
Redknight 1 Thank you for very comforting explanation of why Solgold is not Sxx .
ColonelDrake, Do you seriously believe that FN will even give me time of the day and even if they did would they discuss merits of their investment with a nobody like me.
Rubbish investor, Your concern makes sense . IMHO NM's aim to take this to production could very well end up Sirius way. It would be interesting to see what reasoned comfort experts on this board offer in response to you.
4p. ex div i17/12 payment 25/ 1. Hope this answers your question
Thanks Aquinaga and DatFrog for you response
Just opened yesterdays post to find several letters (one for each account of the family) with the brokers. The shares rea held in our accounts with the brokers therefore assume the broker must have given our details to Solgold. Are they allowed to do this ? Anyone know? I find it difficult to understand that they can release our details without our authority yet they would not answer general enquiry (no personal or account information involved) when I ring about a family member .
ColnelDrake, Have I missed something. my screen is showing Red over 1% drop.
Optimus, My agenda is for the company to be bought out as I cant wait 5 years. I also believe that NM 's agenda is to go to production. So those who want buyout may be should consider voting against him. Problem, however, is that he is the driving force and if removed the share price could take a sever drop. So i am find myself between rock and a hard place.
Any views that help me with the dilemma welcomed.
After dramatic take off yesterday Jet solgold has safely landed at Shanghai airport . Pilot reporting reverse thrust worked effectively with 2.24% power this morning which LOL
Just having a laugh . Still a believer in our great leader NM and a bid
I think I C might have a piece on solgold today. Does anyone have access and if so are they able to share the content
