I am not as sophisticated nor experienced as many of you so cant decide if NM is good, bad or indifferent for our company's fortunes . Fact, however, is NM was voted out . To then let him serve as NED is going against the democratic wishes of the shareholders. Happy to be corrected on the fact if I have got it wrong
RK in my humble opinion you have done nothing wrong. You went to the trouble of communicating with the company and were noble enough to share with us what you could. PLEASE DO NOT STOP.
The chairman shared with you information that he thought COULD be sensitive. So the chairman was unable to decide whether the information was sensitive or not yet took the risk of sharing it with you. it begs the questions - what of sort risks they might be taking when sharing information with other more larger shareholders ?
The above comment is based on my reading of your original post. Apologies to both you and Solgold if I have misunderstood and happy to be corrected by either of you.
LunchMoney, and addicknt I was going to raise similar concerns as you both . I think this is unacceptable from a company quoted on two reputable markets. We need a response from the chairman . I am out now for the rest of the day so will catch up later
ColonelDrake, it is highly unlikely that major shareholders are not as frustrated as you (and the rest of us) at the issue of CEO appointment. They would have therefore pushed for the company to get on with it but it appears that they may have not . If that is the case then why . Is it because they want the company to continue with Harikiri and buy them on the cheap OR there are background discussions that justify the delay.
My choice is your #2 ColonelDrake but some how I don't think it will happen. as you sat it is all ripe for M&A but no one around. I only hope , pleasant as it is, we will not be still on this BB talking about the same things.
Finding a drug for lupus is an extremely worthwhile project . surely therefore the government could have been persuaded to extend the visa to save the project. so either Sareum did not try or that they were unable to convince the government of the merits of their trials .
Woodyb those are exactly my thoughts as well. I think Solgold has been forced by the government and are using rationalisation simply as an excuse to save face. If there were fruitful discussions going on then solgold would have shared them with the government and asked for more time . I am now resigned to not getting more than 50p. in my life time by either TO or asset sale, if I am lucky.
