Surely it was not developed but there was a chance for these gold licenses to be sold. That chance is now gone. Bougouni export license will expire soon too (it was to be annually renewed). All in a country with a government at the brink of collapsing and a CEO who is consistently wrong (look at the miscommunication with Hainan about the resource update. Given all the unprofessional behaviour of the CEO I am now convinced that KOD is clearly liable for the US 15 Million tax, probably Bernard never read the papers).

PSL, I am not sure if you have noticed the recent news in Mali, where the defence minister was assassinated and Assimi Goita had to go in hiding for multiple days. The Mali government is nearly collapsing, with one attempt already for a coup. What you say has nothing to do with the share price being where it is.

Well only facts matter, and the fact is that the terrorists assassinated the second-in-line to the government.

There cannot be a buyer for the gold as there was a RNS which stated that there are issues with the expiring licenses for the gold mines. These would have to be sorted out before there was even a possibility for a buyer.

Yes, these articles also mention that there are videos of both Russian and Malian troops surrendering to the terrorists. I think it is only a matter of time until the government falls (it could be tomorrow or next year, nobody can tell). It has been substantially weakened. Thing is, what government (if any) will provide a license renewal to Kodal, which is about to expire?

Speaking for myself, I indeed do not hold any shares right now, sold recently. And my motivation had been at that point in time:

1) the potential ruthlessness of Hainan relating to the US 15 Million tax liability of Kodal (how can two companies which purportedly agreed to pursue a joint venture are not able to resolve this issue behind closed doors?),

2) Kodal as a company is still unprofessional as evident from the miscommunication about the resource update, and the subsequent ridicule of Kodal by Hainan which stated that the resource update was, after all, legally compliant. It is clear from these things that the two companies retain no line of communication, and Kodal has never been mentioned in Hainan news, indicating that they might be considering throwing them out as a partner,

3) When are we going to see real profits, in how many years? Yes the company makes money but all of it will go to fund the 2nd stage and many more might be needed. It will be years because Kodal itself ( KOD not KMUK) claims any real profit.

4) Need I say anything about Mali given the weekend news? The second-in-line in government was assassinated by a terrorist group now strengthened by a cooperation with the separists. The junta could very well fall at one point.

Again a ridiculous statement. US government didn't rise to power in the past 5 years via a coup to be susceptible to collapse. If you cannot discern between the structure of the US government and the one of Mali I do not know what to say. Clearly not worth my time to respond.

No it will not sort itself, the Russian backed mercenaries withdrew from the city of Kidal, it is not by any means a sufficiently large group to establish any peace in the country. Not to mention that Mali citizens are now joining the terrorists. A successful assassination of the defence minister is a victory for JNIM.

At least now we know why Steve, a director of the company decided to offload shares at 0.24p based on the RNS of last year. He had the information that terrorists are slowly taking control of Mali.
