Following on from Oak's earlier message, HL are showing the SP in the range of 106 - 120. That's some spread. I thought it was simply a technical blip with HL but interesting to see Barclay's showing 110. The SP finished at 114 and I was offered 113.25 for a dummy sell of 13000 shares just before close. Therefore the real spread is 113 - 114. Why show it as 106 - 120? Could there be news on the way...

AVCT has 54m in the bank and is going through it at 9.4m a year. That is 5-years' + of cash in the bank. This puts them in a very safe position and that's before any of the anticipated good news lands. It looks like the hard work has been done by AS and team to establish AVCT as a player. AVA6000 will be finalised well before then - everything else is a bonus. Keep your eye on the big prize AS. But, what a bonus a decent saliva test will be. The need for testing will not go away, people will need to prove they are negative on so many fronts to be allowed to do the fun things in life like going abroad on holidays and hospitality. We sure need some fun in our lives after the year we've had. Very reassuring the price has held above £1.10 today. Anything lower would make the risk versus gain far too lop sided in favour of gain.

I tend to agree with you. This could go crazy at any point. Just needs something to ignite the touch paper.

It looks to me like Lloyds has found its floor at 37pps. Disappointed that its not higher today but hopefully this will be the end the SP fluctuation and reacting like an AIM share. Come on black beauty you're better than that.

I doubt it's a sign that a decent RNS is on its way as SP has fallen since.

Why would anyone buy 1 share. It will have to go up 1000% to make up the dealing costs. Come on AVCT lets make a start on that 1000% increase.

Good luck to all holders and those wishing to get in. We've overcome the big hurdle of a Brexit deal. Hoping for 3 - 5 % increase by close of play and once we get on top of C-19 (and we will) should see us in the 60 - 70 range.

Spot on Dave. Once bitten twice shy. Interesting that AVCT appears to have money in the bank which should act as a buffer for the future if required. I have decided to take a small punt despite my reservation that the good news isn't getting the headlines it deserves. I will be buyng 10000 shares on Tues and my target price is £1.20. Happy to pay a few pence more (better still less) and enjoy the ride. I will pop in from time to time whilst reviewing my other holdings (mainly banks). Good luck all for 2021.

The previous RNS has got my attention. I have a modest amount to invest to supplement my holdings and I am looking to invest in a small pharmaceutical that is well positioned in these uncertain times. AVCT is one on the short list. I tracked the SP on Weds after the last RNS and was happy to see the small gain following the release. I had expected the SP to move up a wee bit on Xmas Eve but that didn't happen. Xmas Eve trading is a bit strange at the best of times as people are looking forward to their early stack and mince pies. When I went to the Yellow Jersey PR website to see how they have disseminated last week's exciting news, I was disappointed to see their website doesn't appear to be up and running. I have done what research I can and keen to dip my toe in, but don't trust AIM (still getting over the mauling from CTAG). The other on the short list is Omega Dia (ODX). Thoughts anyone as to the realistic potential and mid-term goals of AVCT?

It's likely to be a rough day today. Just when there appeared to be light at the end of the runway we have all of this weekend's news to absorb. We will dip today of that there is bo doubt and perhaps tomorrow (sorry). Will be keeping a close eye on the SP over the next couple of days and may go for a small investment on Wednesday. If there is no indication of a deal by time the market opens then the SP will drop tomorrow that's for sure with all the bad news over the weekend.

I posted earlier in the week that the bookies had shortened the odds quite considerably in favour of a Brexit deal by year end. I said these guys don't often get it wrong. I still stick with that philosophy and I see the money is now shifting towards a no deal bring agreed by 31 Dec. With all the negativity this weekend ref Tier 4, Xmas lockdowns for many, effect Tier 4 will have on economy and still no deal signed, it's not looking good for tomorrow morning's opening price. Predictions anyone? I will start it off with tomorrow's opening of 32.65 and close at 32.15. If I am right that would be in the region of -8%. Can a trade deal rabbit be pulled out of the hat today to save tomorrow's blitz?

The bookies have shortened the odds of a deal being signed to 4/9. These guys aren't often wrong and this should be good for banking shares.

Why would they have to rush into releasing an RNS on the dividend this morning? Nothing is going to be paid until next year and there is the likelihood that there will be no trade deal stuck by year's end to factor in to calculations. I see a few percentage rise early doors, but this could flitter away as the day goes with the trade talks.

Can’t see you buying at that price today. However, the way this is heading, I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if Lloyd’s doesn’t flirt with 28pps by the end of the week. Unbelievable, how much would we all pay for a crystal ball or hindsight? Money to be made in lots of areas but wouldn’t want to try to catch a falling knife. I am sitting in the little I got back from other shares yesterday. At least cash can only reduce by the rate of inflation if I stick to that strategy for now.

Having CTAG shares suspended has restricted investment elsewhere and, almost certainly, losing more money in the general stock market massacre.

Good luck to all investors out there, these are unprecedented times and puts lots into perspective. My personal strategy has been to sell everything I had in shares first thing this morning (not much and have lost a packet) but no one knows where the bottom here is. If the general markets increase from here then that will be good as some sense of normality would have returned. If not, let’s see where the stock market is in 3 - 4 weeks and see if there are ‘so called bargains” to be had.

Nothing has changed since my last chech-in. On the bright side, only another 111 posts to go for Dougal to reach 24,000 posts. Should have got together from the onset and taken legal action against CTAG. Not that it would have (in all probability) got us our money back, but someone should have been held to account to stop the fleecing. I feel sorry for anyone who may have been sucked in during the last capital raising.
