Hello Kimura,
No disrespect taken! Longer response though!
I have also been here for almost 4 years, so I feel your pain! I am optimistic about this stock based on what I’m seeing and reading technically and fundamentally so I don’t agree with you in that this “situation merits no [optimism]” as I see plenty here that can merit optimism. In fact most points you make seem unfounded or overly negative to me – no disrespect meant!
For example, you say that the results “most likely will be disappointing” but how do you know for sure? If you look at where they’re drilling, you’ll know (from being in this company for many years) that Sanama Hill is the most prospective area where they’ve found the most gold to-date. They have an exploration JORC and they’re infill drilling here now. So it’s most likely that these results will be consistent with what they’ve already found so far and may even extend the known mineralisation and valuation of this area. The more they drill here the more confidence they’ll get to define this resource and geological controls.
I personally think it’s likely that TZ4 is more risky because they’ve only drilled it with 3 cores to-date and are taking more risk in exploring that (unknown) area. However, I remain optimistic that they will find more in that area based on all the information I’ve seen so far and knowing that the mineralisation found already should extend further.
I did feel frustration in the previous set of results and was vocal about that, as a lot of people did – TZ2 was frustratingly void of any gold and no-one expected that from the IP survey. But I am still optimistic on the good results found in Sanama Hill and further in TZ4 and the 17 other targets identified based on their geological understanding. Don’t forget that a 3m oz resource should equate to about 3p share price once a maiden resource is established (not including the iron ore). It won’t be an easy path though and not all resources will come at once due to the isolated nature of these deposits.
On your point of “why it took 2 years to take action”. It didn’t. It’s taken 9 months since Madini took over. Gold exploration is not a fast activity. It needs surveys, geo work, desk study, exploratory work, scout drilling, refinement, further drilling, etc, etc to eventually get to a resource. And all of that takes time and a lot of money that explorers don’t have. You will know that NW was after the Iron Ore initially, and switched to gold after the Iron Ore resource was defined. He did some scout drilling then ran out of cash and then the company went into hiatus until Madini took over last October (9 months ago). Since then, they’ve done a load of work, 2 further drill campaigns and this second campaign (phase 3) will translate to a maiden resource on Sanama Hill. So I don’t a
