Just checked short tracker quickly and didn't see a change today.

Sadly, I don't think there is much to say at the moment.

Virus hammering stocks, Metro in a bit of a ground hog day at the moment .

We need something from the FCA or some positive news to push this onwards.

Probably right, hopefully it won't but the term "community bank" doesn't inspire as a company that really wants to fight it out.

For anyone that watches F1, this whole situation with wanting challenger banks to the top 4 reminds me of when they invite in 3 news teams in 2010. lotus, hrt and Virgin.

Once they were there they decided they didn't want the competition this the above swiftly went bankrupt as none of the promised changes happen... Very similar in my view.

How does it work with shorting when the market is in free fall, surely they can just short most things as they know the market is tanking.

Also, anyone seen Saga share price? May be a good opportunity given they've been hit hard related to canceled bookings, still a bit more to go on the drop but could be a decent long term recovery

Given the results are out, can we expect to see some Director buys to boost confidence? Alternatively, do we still think a t/o on the cards and due to insider knowledge of what's coming to buys?

Obviously , I guess we can't know until it happens

Hopefully it was market over reaction and shorts starting to close. In hindsight we always knew there was going to be negatives in there given last year, there are also some very encouraging figures ref customer growth etc.

Congrats to anyone who got in at 1.55, you are now sitting on a tidy little profit, for me the red figure is slowly coming down again to a more eye pleasing level.

Only you can make that call, get out with a small profit or kick yourself if it climbs.

I've stayed in to many times myself when I could have got out and kicked myself each time if that helps. I'm in for the long term or at least 2.50 anyhow

Is the digital side really that bad though or is it perception the digital challengers do it better because they hand out cool looking apple style design cards?

Just read about Metro on the BBC stating that customers really like the Metro experience, so much potential here... If only they can turn the ship around.

I'm thinking through this, Metro has a good digital presence plus branches at very flexible hours IF needed, winning customer service and same day card printing.

With revoult, I've heard lots of stories about money going missing and people not being able to talk to customer services etc.

This isn't a blatant Metro is the best, I'm trying to thinking why you would go for one of the others, is the online experience a lot better? I guess you could also say, why take Metro over one of the top 4.
