Thanks Hasty...It was exceptionally good, Kurt was on great form and I liked Sven Otto...mines are part of our lives and the authorities are failing to join the dots, obstructing and preventing opportunities to improve our lives and deal with climate change..it's a war effort no less. Maxburger...the whole thread was taken out including your misinformed comments about the licence for Kallak 1expiring in 2022. I note nobody else has corrected you so I'll make it my job. It will not expire while the decision is pending, which is why it has been extended every three years since the Application was made in April 2013.

Mattias Karlsson has asked me what measures I am prepared to take to ensure that a government decision on a processing concession for Kallak is not further delayed.

The application for a processing concession for Kallak K no. 1 contains an extensive document that reflects the complex issues that the case includes. It is of great importance that the government assesses its cases from all aspects and ensures that decisions are made after adequate processing. The preparation of a case includes both handling measures and is reflected in incoming and outgoing letters as well as internal handling elements such as legal analyzes, considerations and assessments. All of this can affect the time required at different stages of the preparation of a government case. However, the starting point for the Government's handling of administrative matters is always that it should take place quickly, efficiently and without compromising legal certainty.

Legal analyzes and considerations have resulted in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) being given the opportunity to comment on the possible impact of the applied processing concession Kallak K No. 1 on the Laponia World Heritage Site.

Ibjj...Permitting is always the big risk in a mining project, you know that as well as I do. I'm happy to agree to differ but I'll stick to my own opinion if you don't mind. Eight years + waiting for a decision is too long and everyone agrees with that including The Minister but we're not alone, no new mining project has been given the go ahead in the last ten years...and KB only manages one of them.

I think he's playing the party line with the full knowledge of the PM why would he do otherwise.

3card...How long have you been in this...I've been in for over ten years and I haven't decided yet to give it up and that's my choice...it isn't a matter of no progress, it's a matter of no decision and only the Government can deliver that. Kurt can only deliver the best potential mine project there could be and I think he's done that.

Eric...Matthias Karlsson has just done precisely that, and that's the only way to move it because Kurt has no power in the Riksdag:

And, furthermore...Matthias Karlsson has just put a question to the Minister asking why he has allowed this matter to take so long when a normal consultation period is three months. That might have speeded it up a bit.

It has to play itself out, there's no point really agonising about it...it is what it is.

What seems odd is that the Company provided relevant information to assist UNESCO and there has been no communication from their direction about it, presumably because UNESCO believe the Government is their 'client', which has some logic to it. And maybe they didn't have any questions because the material provided was complete enough. :-)

No, certainly not...you use every opportunity to take a cheap swipe at the Boss. BrainTec's reply would be of no value whatsoever to the Company, would it....It's a general statement and why wouldn't they be nearly finished after more than six months.

BrainTec is a Swedish shareholder....he's written several times and received an acknowledgement in the early days which stated they would advise him of progress in due course. You can believe it or not, it makes no difference...I believe it, he's a reliable poster with a large investment and I believe that also...it takes one to know one. Lol.

Roller...If Kurt receives a meaningful communication from UNESCO, he'll tell us in an RNS, he won't tell you the contents of it in an email. And why do you think emails are not valid communication; the difference between an email from you and an email from Kurt is considerable.

Morning All. Must say I don't have total confidence that UNESCO won't take the opportunity offered to them to make it their business and I just hope the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth are held up as an OUV.

The World Heritage Center is fully aware of the interest of the different stakeholders in the developments related to the planned Kallak mine project.

The state of conservation of the property is being monitored closely with the relevant authorities of the Kingdom of Sweden, the World Heritage Center and the Advisory Bodies (IUCN, ICOMOS) to the World Heritage Convention in accordance with the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention.

In this respect, please note that the information and documentation related to the planned Kallak mine project received from the State Party is currently being reviewed by the Advisory Bodies in an in-depth assessment.The Technical Review is expected to be completed soon and will be transmitted to the Swedish authorities.

By signing the World Heritage Convention, each State Party recognizes the duty of ensuring the identification, protection, conservation, presentation and transmission to future generations of the cultural and natural heritage situated on its territory. Technical reviews serve to provide recommendations to States Parties with regard to the preservation of the Outstanding Universal Value of World Heritage properties, its cultural and natural values ??and its integrity and authenticity.
