This looks and feels exactly like Synairgen. Fantasy drug development that never gets to market and senior management who milk shareholders for years and years with their huge salaries. It is a well trodden path and as close to a legal Ponzi scheme as you can get.

I think there is a 30 day restriction on lending shares post IPO so although shorting isn’t prohibited it’s more difficult. There is no restriction using derivatives like CFDs or spread betting but I guess some of those platforms are not keen to make a market immediately post IPO

No issue on HL although the bid ask is way off when you actually deal

The HL is quite slow to show the actual bid/ask. Currently 2.7 on the bid but 2.9 if you try a dummy sell

I honestly think people are deluded here. If there is a 12 month lock in then what WCAP effectively has is the equivalent of a nice call option on WSHP which might pay off very nicely in a year. The actual value of it today is somewhere between zero and the full % of the WSHP sp

The market is being a little unfair to assign very little of that today but would you sell at 6p or 12p if you really believe it’s worth 30-50p?

Basically you have 12 months to monitor your “option” and see what the market does, which presumably as we get closer to the end of the lock in will more accurately correlate to the WSHP sp.

This assumes of course there are no other clauses or restrictions we’re not aware of.

There is no way WCAP can be worth the full value of their holding until the lock in has ended or is about to end

That said, WSHP is flying again at c$170-$200 so perhaps my punt won’t need to wait as long as I thought for a decent return

I bought 300k at 3.6p and my point is I think many thought this would be an instant bagger whereas I think it may be one to keep an eye on over the coming months given the potential but volatility of Weshop

Also keeping in mind that you lose a lot on the spread so buying a decent holding means you have to stomach the paper loss for a while potentially

I think a lot of people have rushed in this morning without understanding the reality if there is a 12 month lock in the WCAP really isn’t going to rise much as it is a punt on what the Nasdaq price for the US company will be next autumn which could be anything, atm the 50%? rise from last week is probably enough so quite a few will be sitting on losses at close today I suspect

The MMs will of course have made a mint trading trading the spread as well as the like ifs iI and HL via their trading fee…even the bloody Govt will have made a few quid on tax!

It’s just another AIM scam business that makes a very nice living for the Senior management team.
