Catch up is the name of the game for this share. So many have commented other shares have already risen we now await the market catch up. Most shares are cyclical and we have not yet had our day - I think a good time to buy some more!

This was a highlight I see as production comes back on last year. :-
(Q1 2021 vs Q4 2020)

Sukari gold production for the quarter was 104,047 oz, a 53% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 ("QoQ"), driven by improved open pit and underground mined grade, resulting in a 34% increase in feed grade; and a 17% reduction compared to the first quarter of 2020 ("YoY") reflecting the conclusions of the Life of Asset Phase 1 and three-year outlook presented in December 2020

Biden leads Climate change summit today, and it appears well known that 10% of all Silver sales go towards the manufacture of Solar panels. So demand is hardly going to go away for the Silver metal. Up 2% on the day. Fres and Hoc will do well out of this!

Silver moving back up fast now at USD26.40 oz or over 2% up for day and more importantly over74% up year on year. Should give us a very good set of results, especially if we can see an improvement on last years figs. Fingers crossed.
By the way President Biden in favour of Solar energy is leading the climate change talks today, and Fres have previously said that 10% of all Silver sales goes to Solar Panel production so Silver demand will increase and demand = higher prices. No panic here in my opinion!

ECB decision due 12.45 BST, commodity prices are always volatile at this time. However from todays open Gold and especially Silver are now up again, in fact Silver is now up 74% on the year! No panic for me. Good solid results yesterday and if the ECB do produce more stimuli which the Europeans need then we could be up again later - no worries.
DK - yes in answer Yes I do hold Fresnillo as well. I also hold in addition to HOC Centamin too all good for a longer term recovery and shorter term once inflation starts and where Industrial production cannot keep pace with demand. Recent Crypto doubts for its usage by Govts will also help us preserve our safe haven status going forward. IMHO.

i.e. DK. When better grades have been found in areas of 3 existing sites it will not take long to get it mined. Plus we have the small item of the Silver price for the year now up over 71%. -Happy days!

JPM - Maybe they should be forming a Super league with HOC, FRES, CENTAMIN. Or maybe the others left behind such as Leeds, Everton, Napoli, etc, can buy their own Silverware then! Ha. ha.
Back to this share price and I see that my prediction this morning of Gold breaking 1800oz is nearly there and Silver price is now well through the USD26oz barrier and moving up towards USD17oz. Hope we can keeps going and the Reddit boys see this one for themselves!

Carv.b. Suspect the 1% divi will have no effect on the share price that has fallen over the past year. In fact most analysts will be looking at HOIC results today and then working out their numbers for Fres results in 9 days time. I suspect if the Silver and Gold continue the run in to tomorrow we may go up. So I would not bet we go down. However longer term we will be back especially looking at what else Fres mine over its competitors i.e. Lead and Zinc all are metals now in heavy demand and prices have been rising on the industrial rebound.

Come on bonkers tell us? erh not the European Super League for their new mickey mouse cup? Or a Solar power producer? Or Tesla? Ha,ha. Most likely the NY vaults? for Silver coin?

DK-There is talk currently on bloomberg of precious Palladium and other metals shortages (even Iron, and no doubt Zinc/Lead) already, as industrial production comes back strong. Even if we do fall tomorrow and that depends on the Market prices rather than the divi, I suspect over the next couple months we will return to form and once we get moving will move quite fast. The problem is if one is not in the boat then one might miss it! I am happy to wait but feel will not be long to do so.

Chaps - I Expect this share to come back now and grow throughout the year with growth and on supply shortages for Silver/Gold Industrial use, crypto govt.concerns re. tax avoidance,etc, and as a inflation hedge.
I also expect the same from the others. I must admit selling a large sum of Centamin at a loss to reduce my CGT for my other share gains over the year, but made sure of buying a large Sum for my wife. I can buy more Centamin next week after the 30day rule, but instead fed more back into the other miners that have fallen such as Fres and Hoc. I expect all three to come back strong now, and each will still pay good divis - unlike the travel stocks. So a good call still here TBH. IMHO.

Suspect today once the NYSE realize this we will be up - also in 9 days time we expect the annual report and what with so much of an increase in the year on yr Silver price alone I expect big things. As my Japanese client always tells me "good things come after a long sleep" - perhaps you are right this giant is now waking up! If not I will take the divi - anyway - fill yer boots IMHO. Top up ex-divid too.

Podcast must have been well received - no doubt what we saying earlier future actually looks good with higher grades and production to increase from next qtr and yr on yr Silver up 70%. Better reserves, better pricing, new opportunities.
To be honest El p - I suspect CEY might also have a good report later as they were looking to release a plan from March in relation to their West African interests not yet mined!! Fres will be back too on production and commodity prices. I am in all three and do not regret a longer term view with growth gaining as well as inflation.

Spot Gold already closed in on Comex June 21 price on my chart and likely to push up over at this rate. Silver up now too to 26.13 spot. Maybe as last year shortages could be the cards as you have pointed out. Fingers crossed. Also pretty sure the Hoc video will point analysts to a brighter future.

Yes Bonkers I agree good time to add. i.e. Next qtr will show increased prod. on last yr. Grades are improving to help production too. Lets face it if the grades were lower we would have fallen but as they are getting better we should be going up!
For today as it has already been pointed out Silver is now actually over USD26 an oz and Gold is up too to USD1783, and if it continues will soon be over 1800 an oz - Happy days are ahead I am sure.

Production is coming back and almost up to last years start of the year (before the Pandemic kicked in). Which will mean results will be on upturn into the 2nd Qtr and from now on. The higher grades found at the three new brownfield drilling sites will help too. The Higher commodity prices have allowed the Company to built in some stability with a very good hedge price. The Bank has increased cash, and the future is looking better. The Management to me have made some very sensible longer term tactical actions to secure the Company for growth. I did not see anything mentioned regarding the Companies other interests such as those in partnership with the North American miners, or the rare earths, but I am happy not seeing any sudden surprises which is the reason last year Centamin fell, but also hopefully will issue something similar to what we have from HOC. As Bond rates fall, and as inflation shows an upwards march HOC and the other FTSE miners are not done yet in my opinion!

Actually when converting over from USD to GBP the commodity prices for today are currently up for Silver and Gold.
Perhaps major Countries including the USA will also now need to provide even more stimuli to further their market positions. I have a feeling high Gold/Silver prices with Crypto on the back foot unless one is into dogecoin will allow Higher precious metals for some time yet!

Silver only just below yesterdays levels now down only 0.09%, but interestingly the year on year Silver price has risen to be now up 73.30% on the year. This shows how much the price has risen on last years in comparison. I am really looking forward to tomorrows production results because we may be in for a re-value and will be back heading towards £3 a share if the rise in profits is up 50% (with an allowance for production costs). Happy days will come again I am sure.

Dk you are right I looked at the Hoch web site and they say results due 21st. So not long to wait. The last update gave detail of some new interesting projects developing and interests now outside of South America in North America and Canada too. Also Brownfield approved sites, and the fact last years stoppages were covered by increased commodity prices. Well i'm thinking if the Silver price is up 69% on the Heady price of last year and we have had a better production run than last year we should be in for a real treat. As even last year the Company at year end were carrying a lot of free cash and no debt. To be honest this share needs a pick me up as it has become a little bit over looked for too for about half a yr. Fingers crossed.
